Best Way to Florida Mall from BC/YC/BCV?

Go to DTD and head towards CrossRoads. At the intersection of Apopka-Vineland and Hotel Plaza Blvd, turn left, and get to the right as you will turn right at the next stoplight. This is Palm Parkway. Follow this road for several miles--you'll go past the sign for Seaworld, etc. Turn right onto Sand Lake Road, and follow this for about 5 miles--the Mall will be on your right. It is a very impressive mall.

Palm Pkwy (turns into Turkey Lake Rd about half a mile after you get on it) to Sand Lake is one way, but not necessarily the fastest way.

I would take I-4 East to the Beeline (528), then take that to the Orange Blossom Trail exit (US rte 17 92, I believe), then follow OBT to Sand Lake Rd. The FL Mall is basically at the corner of OBT and Sand Lake Rd.

Syracuse Woverine and I always disagree on directions. I guess since SW lives in the area, she/he has her preferences, and I have mine since I like in a very small town with little traffic. I REALLY don't like I-4 so I avoid it at all costs. Palm Parkway has very little traffic, but Sand Lake is very heavy.

Sorry NCRedding ... didn't realize how often you and I posted different sets of directions to the same places :) Didn't mean to imply that your directions are wrong, I just seem to prefer I-4.

I will say that I have a choice between using Palm Parkway (Turkey Lake Rd) or taking I-4 to get home from work, and on some days, Turkey Lake ends up being faster.

I don't claim to understand traffic on I-4 ... some days it will be great, other days, at the same time, it will be absolutely brutal.

How do you know which to choose before you have already made the choice and found it to be wrong?

How many traffic lights do you hit on Palm Parkway and Sand Lake Road?

My gut feeling is that left out of the BC/YC access road ont Buena Vista, pass Caribbean Beacn and Bonnet Creek and next right onto Epcot freeway out of WDW, then I-4 east to Bee Line (528) to Orange Blossom Trail exit is faster. The mall is only a few blocks from the Bee Line interchange.

Certainly sounds confusing to say the least.

First, there is more than one way. The fastest is I4 east to 528e to Orange Blossom Trail and you are there.

Second is 536 to 417N to OBT then N to Sand Lake

Third is Oseola PwWy to 417n to OBT then N to Sand Lake

Coming from work, I get on I-4 at the Osceola Pkwy on-ram to I-4 East. If I-4 is flowing well, I'll stay on it. If not, I'll get off at SR 535, and take that to Turkey Lake ... either that, or listen to traffic reports on the radio before I make the decision on which route to take.
