Best way to book when needing 3 to 4 beds?

Thanks everyone for the help. I liked the onsite ideas because I thought the dining and tickets with Disney is a good idea. Looking at two rooms. Love the ideas and thoughts. I don't want to spend too much. The airfare going to kill me. I tried to look into Wyndham Bonnet Creek but it look like it was near Universal. Help

I was reading about POR and the trundle bed and it said it was ONLY for small children under 6 or 7. It also said NO Junior or Adult was allowed to sleep on the trundle bed, or you would lose your reservation.

Are you sure you're not looking at one of the other Wyndham resorts (e.g. Star Island)? Because WBC is surrounded by three sides by Disney. It's actually closer to the parks than some of the Disney-owned resorts.

No, its not near Universal. It is on WDW property next to Caribbean Beach resort. Very close to everything. DHS is the closest park. Here is a link to a thread about the resort:

We booked through vacationstrategy.com for our stay. Some people also use vacationupgrades.com. I emailed them both for quotes and went with the best one.

WBC is surrounded by Disney property. But WBC and Disney are very close to Seaworld and Universal and many other attractions. Not walking close but public transport or rental car close - 10-20 minutes depending on attraction and traffic time of day.

This all depends on your budget and how much you expect or have budgeted per night.

If you are looking in $100 a night range, you are looking at a value room at Disney (with a discount) and bring your twin air mattress. Offsite will get you lots of value for $100 a night.

Depending on your length of stay, it may be worth it to be cuddled up in a value room - 3-4 days. Any longer than 2 days with 4 in a value room would send me over the edge but - I spend more time in the room then a first time visitor. Most first timers are probably park hopping their hearts out! And then the room is just a place to leave the luggage and get a shower.

If your budget is extremely limited your best option is probably a cheap rental car and a condo rental with a kitchen.

if your budget is higher, disney hotel and a dining plan offers loads of convenience and the feeling of being disneyed 24/7! Can be fun.

We are DVC members, and we still use an air mattress in a 1 bedroom for my son (who is 19), so he and his teen sister don't share a bed. We've been doing that for many years!

This was already stated, but we love the cabins at Fort Wilderness. These have 4 beds, two doubles and a bunk bed. My kids all slept in the back bedroom and my husband and I slept on the murphy bed in the living room and we both thought it was comfortable.:thumbsup2

I just want to offer up a suggestion for those who are taking along an air mattress. Consider making a sheet sleeping bag. It will be much easier to make up every evening and doesn't have to stay tucked in. We did this for DS during our trip in 2008. DH was a big guy (not so big any more :thumbsup2) and takes up a full bed himself. DD and I are okay with sharing, but DS couldn't really fit with us. I bought an inexpensive Coleman single air mattress at Walmart (we already had a pump). I tried to buy a kids size one to save even more space, but couldn't find a good quality one.

Anyhow, I took an extra king-size flat sheet and sewed it up with a basting stitch to create a sheet sleeping bag. It laid right over the top of the air mattress and made it super easy for DS to just toss it over the mattress at night and climb in! We requested an extra blanket for the room and there were plenty of pillows to share. When we got home I just unstitched it and we had our flat sheet back again!

I know that they sell silk sleeping bag liners out there (to use with sleeping bags), but they are very pricey.

In the morning we just folded the extra blanket, tossed the pillow on the bed, and folded the sheet sleeping bag and tossed it in a drawer. Then we propped the air mattress against the wall. We did this at Pop.... and YES the rooms are small.... but like a few other mentioned, we weren't in the room other than for sleeping and showering in the morning. As I recall, I did have to do a bit of rearranging of the table and chairs to fit the mattress comfortably along a wall, but it wasn't any trouble. And EVERYONE got a good night's sleep!! ....................P

We just booked off-site at Comfort Inn Maingate East (3 miles from Disney) for around $115 a night. Getting two queen beds and a set of bunk beds in one room. Like that this place also offers free breakfast, so one meal I don't have to pay for or worry about!
