What is the best way to book from PVD To MCO

Round Trip or one way????

What are the good and bad points to each

I always book one way tickets --that way if one segment drops in price, you can get the ticketless travel funds credit. If you are on a round trip ticket and one segment goes down but the other goes up - you might not be able to capitalize on the full credit (or the total new price may exceed your original price if that makes sense!)

Thanks

Right now its 152 +taxes for PVD to MCO and 139 from+taxes from MCO to PVD

Im hoping these prices come down any idea when that might happen?

Thanks

Who knows! :confused3 I just keep checking daily...sometimes more than once. Our flights from PVD to MCO for August are pricing at $139.00 and $188.00 for the return. I'm waiting and hoping they come down a bit.

I always book PVD to MCO as one way so we can take advantage if the fare goes down on one leg and not the other. Last year I just booked when they came out because I knew we were travelling within a year anyway and would use the ticketless travel funds that way. In the end, we ended up with a $185 credit just on two tickets. I rebooked 6 times! This year, I booked as soon as they came out for our May trip. Our ticket went from $125 one way to $260. Glad I booked. Of course, I will keep monitoring but it's not looking good at this point. I have never seen SWA give a better fare as a RT rather than one way.

It doesn't really matter if you book one way or round trip any more. Since SWA changed their website you can change either end of your trip without changing the other (ex-you can change the outbound but not change the inbound).

When you bring up your confirmation number, it brings up all of your scheduled flights, with a box to check. You just check whatever you want to change and that's all that gets changed.

I've change both ends of my flight already (at different times-I've even changed my flight to MCO twice) for price drops and I booked round trip.

So, do it however you want.

I second what Poohlovr said: You can drfinitely rebook only part of your trip if it drops in price while leaving the other part completely untouched. Have done it myself. You just make sure to check off which leg of the flight you want to rebook. Even EBCI can be purchased either one way or round trip, even if you purchased round-trip flights.

Now if there are other benefits to booking each leg separately, I'm not sure... I guess one obvious one would be if SWA only released their schedule up to/including your day of departure and not your return date. Then, obviously, you may want to book the departure one way while you wait for the return to open up.
