best way to book room only-

I call JUST IN CASE there is a pin code attached to my name. That wouldn't show up online.

The differences in calling and booking online are as follows:

1) Calling allows you to see if there is a PIN code attached to your name.

2) When you call for a reservation, you will get a paper copy of your reservation in the mail.

3) When you call for a reservation, you can pay the first night's deposit then by CC or wait until you receive paper confirmation and mail in payment.

4) When you call for a reservation, you can continue to make payments ahead of time.

1) Booking online allows you to look at multiple options without using phone time.

2) Booking online does not let you see if there is a PIN code.

3) Booking online you must have a CC and pay the first night deposit right then.

4) Booking online you will get an email confirmation.

5) Booking online you CANNOT pay any additional on your reservation until you arrive.

We have always booked online for the entire package. We get paperwork in the mail and we continue to make monthly payments until it is paid off before the trip. Is the difference, that we booked a package? I'm asking because our trip in March is going to be room only so if I will no longer be able to make the payments or get paperwork, I will call to book instead.

Right but thats for Packages they are looking for Room ONLY.

I know Room only for an Ap discount is just as clkelly has stated.Now I did call to make some changes so they just took more for the first night that was due at that time . ( upgraded from POP to POFQ)

That is correct, packages you can make payments on and it must be paid in advance.

Room only booked online, you can only pay 1 nights deposit, the rest must be paid at checkin.

Room only AP rate booked online has a 45 day cancellation, and only one night payment can be made.

Room only AP rate phoned in has a 5-day cancellation, and can be paid on at any time.
