best way to Boardwalk from POFQ?

We will arrive at POFQ at about 4 pm on our 1st day. We are planning on going to the Boardwalk, having dinner, shopping and seeing some of the Boardwalk resorts. I don't want to take a bus to the front of Epcot, because we would have to pass thru Epcot, using a day of our hopper, to get to BW. I was thinking that the easiest way would be to take a bus to MGM from POFQ, then walk or take a boat to BW. Is this a good plan, or is there a better way? Thanks!!! Oh yeah, and how to get back if MGM is already closed?

Your plan going to the Boardwalk is the way to go.

Coming back, you waould need to take the bus to DTD from the BW. Or just take a Taxi back to POFQ (that;s what I would do). It would cost between $12-$15.

I agree with Ed - bus to MGM, then walk or boat to the BW.

Unless I wanted to stop at PI for awhile, I'd take a cab back to POFQ from the BW. It's quick and easy, well worth the price after a nice evening out. JMHO. YMMV.
