Best Way from AK to DS and back?

Could anybody help me find the best way to DS from AK? I will be leaving at about 4 after the parade. How long does it take to reach? Should I park my car at DS then take transportation to AK and back? DS has EMH that day. OR Should I park at AK and take transportation to DS and back? Will taking my car be more easier?

Any help is appreciated.

I'm trying to figure out which direction you're heading. Are you going to MGM in the morning and then over to AK later or the other way around? I'm not sure it affects my advice that it is easier all around to just take your car. When you pay for parking at one park, it is good for the day at all of the parks, so cost isn't a consideration. I believe you would be spending a lot of unnecessary extra transportation time by taking the bus.

I'm just a little unclear as to why you'd be heading over to AK that late in the day (usually AK closes earliest of all parks), so maybe I have it backwards. But like I said, doesn't really matter to the advice - take your car.

Sorry if my question appears confusing. I will start my day at AK and then at about 4 go to DS. Does the monorail work in between them? I wanna sit on the monorail once if I can. Will car be the best option?

I've always had a hard time catching a bus from AK, but I've never tried after the parade. Theoretically, the easiest way would be to take the busses between AK and the Studios. But if, a Studios bus isn't at AK when you get out, look for a bus to Boardwalk or the Swan/Dolphin. You can walk or boat from there to the Studios.

I'm not sure if EMH at the Studios is in the morning or the evening. Either way, park at DS. You could drive between the two, but you may end up parking a long way out at both places, especially if you return to DS for evening EMH.

there is no monorail around AK or MGM. You would have to go to MK or Epcot for that.

The fastest option is always driving yourself from one park to the next. If you're staying onsite and want to take Disney transportation, then just take a bus to AK in the morning, take a bus from AK to MGM in the afternoon, then take a bus back to your resort from MGM.

If you take a car it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to get from one park to the other, and if you're staying on-site then parking is free.

Ah, starting at AK and then going to DS definitely makes more sense - sorry I had it backwards.

Yeah, unfortunately monorail is not an option for you...I really wish they connected all the parks with the monorail. I can't think of any circumstance where you won't want to take your car (unless, as the previous post indicates, you are staying onsite and even then it could be considered a matter of opinion). Even if you have to park a little further away from the park entrance, you are still going to save time doing this as opposed to taking the bus over the DS and then taking another bus back to AK to pick up your car. In fact, given that AK probably closes hours earlier than DS, you may have difficulty even getting back there.
