Best Waterproof Camera??

I am looking for recommendations for a waterproof camera.
I am not a diver, so anything up to 30 feet or so would be great. I would like to keep it under $300.

I just purchased the Olympus Stylus Tough 6020 and I don't really like it. I haven't used it underwater, but out of water pics aren't that great.



Just wanting something for pics of the kids at the beach/pool!

I bought the Olympus Stylus Tough 5000 in February and didn't like it, either. We opted for a non-waterproof one. Sorry, I'm not much help other than to say don't buy the 5000 model either.

There's a huge thread over on the Cruise board that gives lots of information on lots of different underwater cameras. Many people have posted pictures taken by them as well.

We have the Canon D10. DH has been pretty happy with it so far.

My sister just got that one and she is a "camera snob"
She hasn't had a chance to use it just yet, but am excited to see what she says.

I got the fuji something or other but have only used it once so far. Not sure what I think about it.

We have the Canon D10. I took it on a helmet dive in Grand Cayman that went to about 30 feet and it was great! The pictures were really good. It also takes good above water pictures too. So far I have been happy with it.

I have heard great things about the Canon D10 as well as the Pentex optios and even a fuji brand that has hi def video. Run a search or ask on the photography forums here.

I'm planning to get a D10 later this year. Next summer I hope to do a week at WDW and Aquatica and beach so I would love a lightweight(my Nikon D80 is heavy) camera that will not worry me if it gets wet.
