I am taking my family (DW, DS 6, and DD 3) to their first MNSSHP this October. I'm looking for good vantage points for the Boo To You parade. If possible, I'd like to avoid Main Street. I'd like to try and catch the second parade, but we'll be at the mercy of the kids at that point.

I have watched several times from Liberty Square in front of Hall of Presidents or along the side by the Rivers of America. Standing in front of Hall of Presidents you can see all of the floats and performers coming straight towards you and also get good views and interaction as they slow down to make the turn toward the castle. This also works as a good spot for the new 3 o'clock parade and any other that starts in Frontierland. Boo to You is my favorite, favorite parade! I love all of the villains!

I personally like the main street/Town Square (right down by the train station) as the lighting is better over there during the parade, Frontierland gets pretty dark.

In Frontierland you're not waiting as long for the parade to begin, and you have the cadaver dans(?) roaming for entertainment.

On the train station side of main street & town square you're waiting longer but have the creepa crew (which last year featured phineas & ferb) dance party thing to keep you occupied.

It all depends, I find Town Square to not be that bad of a viewing spot, especially for the second parade, but if you want to avoid it, then I'd say go for a spot in front of the hall of presidents!
