Best View from Grandstand

We are going back to SSR in January and are wanting to stay in the Grandstand section. What would be the best view from there to request. We loved the view from Congress Park of DTD. Is there a view similar to this at Grandstand?

The last time we stayed at the Grandstand, we requested to be close to the bus stop and the pool and we got just that. Nice poolview, very close to the bus stop, and not too far from AP. We're thinking of requesting CP for our June '10 visit and I'm hoping to be close to DD. Is it possible to get a nice view, close to bus stop, and close to AP for that?

Haven't stayed in the Grandstand but think the views are primarily pool or maybe the golf course.

Congress Park is the section for a DTD view but you are not near the main building then. There is a bus stop right outside of CP buildings and the view if you get a DTD view (request one because not all rooms have one) is awesome!

we asked to be near the pool at CP as our son is in a wheelchair and although we were near the pool we ended up with a bus stop view so there was not much privicy if you sat in the balcony.

thinking there will probably be similar situations at The Grandstand so maybe put in a request for a pool view or golfcourse view rather than what I did

We are thinking of trying Grandstand this time because of my need for a scooter and it being the first stop at SSR. We have stayed many times at Congress Park and really enjoyed it, but with that stop being almost the last one we were worried about the bus issue and my scooter.

I guess I will look into the golf course view, but maybe I will get lucky and by the time we leave in January I won't need the scooter. I can always hope at least.

As far as I can tell, most of Grandstand has, at least, a partial golf course view (except the short end of one building that faces the pool) Grandstand has 2 buildings near the pool (one is closer to the bus stop, that building also has the pool view side) that are also very convienent getting to the main building/pool/boats/boat to DTD. I think they are every bit as close as the Springs buildings. On the other side of the Grandstand parking lot are the other 2 Grandstand buildings. If you do not mind the extra distance, I think they have better/ more private/quiet views, pretty much all golf course with some river (although I'm not sure how the new THV path changes the tranquility)

Really, I was stunned with the view from one of the far Grandstand buildings. Wonderful composition of the SSR landscaping, then one golf fairway, then the river (with boats going to OKW) with mature evergreens in the background.

There is little to no DTD view from Grandstand. (I did see a few Cirque lights through the trees at night from that room) Perhaps the other near pool building can see over the main SSR dining area towards DTD?

If you really wanted, there is a west walking path to DTD (If you want to go through the Cirque parking lot) near the boat dock that is also most convienent from Grandstand.
