These kids snuck into River Country, the abandoned Disney Water Park near Wilderness Fort, and recorded their tomfoolery for about 20 minutes. I do not condone these shananigans...some may even call them crimes.

They were subsequently banned from the parks for life and whatnot.

why would disney leave the waterpark in such condition? why wouldn't they take it apart or at least clean it up? looks like a dangerous place

Because there's a fence around it, and it's not open to the public, and their employees are not allowed there unless they're assigned to do some work in the area...

Yes it's dangerous. That's why they don't want people in there. But it's a lot cheaper to let it go than clean it up.

Here's another whiner who poked WDW in the eye with his backstage videos.

OMG she's obnoxious, that explanation was painful. I had to skip half of it. I kept expecting Jimmy Fallon to come in and say "EW". Also, she's definitely not the first person to sneak into "forgotten Disney". They told her to take the video down, she didn't do it, she got herself banned. Also, I'm sure an apology would have gotten her a lot further than a video where it takes her 4 minutes to say "Like OMG whatever Disney. I've been literally giving you my money since I was born, can you just like cut me some slack, ew. Can't you see my youtube has like literally a billion views, I can't like take that down, the world will literally stop turning"

Thats interesting. I guess my question is: Considering they have rightly spent millions cleaning up other things instead of just hanging a "Don't you go back there" sign, why have they chosen to leave a gross, festering accident-waiting-to-happen within a few football fields of where thousands of children play and explore. If you don't know, feel free to not respond.

So she titled the video "Banned from Disney World", but in the video admits that WDW still lets her into the parks. Does this Drama Queen know what the word "banned" means?

My favorite part is when she tells Disney to stop taking money out of her account since she's not allowed into the parks anymore. No they shouldn't! First, they still let her in! Second, she agreed to pay Disney x amount of money for an AP, and then violated their trust. They have every right to take what they're owed!

Disney should start offering these places as part of a special VIP tour. They could fix it up just enough that it's not a hazard, stick an age limit and liability waiver on it. They would make money off of it plus it would take some attention away from these self absorbed you tubers. It's not cool, if it's not "illegal" to do it and everyone has access

Perhaps you could name a few.

Any full animal skeletons found in the Horizons building before demolition? Trees growing up thru the foundation of the swan boats plaza at magic kingdom?

The Treehouses Villas were vacant for years and never left to squatters.

The unfinished Legendary Years resort next to pop century had railings installed to prevent accidents and the grounds were occasionally tended to. the parcel of land was later transformed into art of animation.

It is not likely the Richard Petty Racetrack will look like River Country in twenty years.

I like to think of it as their own little Chernobyl.

What a a stupid way to risk your life!! Have very fond, happy memories of taking ourselves and our children there and really hate to see it abandoned and rotting away - even the view from the boats is sad! We covered all the ground they did in the video, but when it was a beautiful enjoyable rustic (to a degree) water park.

Even though it's Disney's perogative to let it become a ghost park, have wished for a long time that they would demolish it. I would think it would be a haven for snakes and alligators - couldn't pay me to go in there in it's condition.

Yes, ban the kids Disney - they were well aware that what they were doing was wrong and very dangerous. I did not vote as none of the selections that I would choose were there. I don't feel like they should be banned from 'all' parks, but banned from Disney parks until they show they are responsible enough to realize what 'off limits' 'keep out' and 'rules' mean on public and private property, and the consequences of such blatant disregard of such.
