POP with a Lake View room! Then you are away from any pool noise...and the lake is very pretty!

I don't know if this is true, but I was told Pop is the only true value resort with king-sized beds. (Those aren't guaranteed, but you can make the request.) That sealed it for me and my DP. I requested a room in the 50s section, on an upper floor, lakeside. If you go Pop and want to avoid the kiddos, get as far from the Hippy Dippy pool as possible

ETA: So Google tells me Pop isn't the only Value with King-sized beds... maybe it was that the CM I talked to said Pop has more KS beds available? I can't remember. Moar coffee.

AoA is my first choice but I love the themeing and the Little Mermaid. Next I'd choose POP and then Movies.

Each Value has the same ratio of King Rooms to total rooms so technically the above is true because Pop has more total rooms than any other Value. So your odds of getting a King room are the same no matter which Value you choose.

I have stayed at Pop and Music and we have now returned to Music for our last 6 trips. Here are some numbers and you can make your choice.
POP has 2880 rooms while Music has 1604 rooms. At 2 persons per room, that means when the resorts are full, Pop will have 2552 more people using the pools, eating breakfast in the morning, trying to use the buses to get to the parks. I also found the staff at Music to be especially nice. Check out me with the girls from the gift shop. We email eachother throughout the year. My wife and I look forward to our week at Music every year and wouldn't change for anything.

I agree. I have multiple stays in each value resort. While I LOVE the lake view and walk around the lake, Pop has the most chaotic atmosphere in the congested areas. ASMu is the quietest.

Every stay at Pop has been loaded with school groups (but it was not an issue)--I think it is a myth that the All Stars are offered first...... ALL value resorts host school/sports groups.

Hubby and I stayed at All Star Sports for our anniversary trip in 2014. We briefly considered deluxe or moderate resort but ultimately decided we would rather spend the money upgrading to the deluxe dining plan (we went during free dining) to try a bunch of signature restaurants and use our snack credits at the food and wine festival. We were mostly in our room to sleep anyway and they even upgraded us to a king bedroom in the premium section at no extra charge at check in.

It suited our needs just fine. I love the All-Stars...budget friendly, compact so you're not walking 15 minutes just to used your resort refillable mug and so, so Disney!

We stayed at Pop one night and it was very loud and chaotic. I'm staying at AoA one night on an upcoming trip - I'm looking forward to seeing the themes there.

Before buying into DVC we stayed at ASM many times, and I always loved it. Always requested corner room in the back of Jazz overlooking the little playground. Stairs are convenient and can access both pools quickly. ASM is where I really fell in love with Disney, so although we're staying deluxe now, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment staying at ASM.

love Pop - the outside bar is nice and can be fun. just remember that the food court in the morning is horrible - so would either be prepared for a cold breakfast in your room (6:30 to 7am only the bakery is open) - or get to the parks early and eat there.

We also love Pop! Epcot fireworks are in the distance best seen from the top floor of buildings 2, 3, and 4.

There is a great view of the Hollywood Studios fireworks from the Pop side of the bridge to Art of Animation. Watching fireworks reflected in the wate and walking around the lake is a great adult activity.

Pop is great for reliving your childhood. I stayed with my daughter who loved it, but I kept texting my husband with photos of things we grew up with, like the big 80's computer and the big wheel.

There was even a sign with my date of birth on the front and his on the back.

We have stayed at Pop and All Star Sports and we walked around All Star Music and spent some time at the pool. Pop had by far our favorite theming and a better location. It is the most universally appealing, I think.

I am new on the boards and my husband and I are both retired. Our dream was to someday be able to stay on property. Because of a great room rate we were finally able to do that in May. We stayed 5 nights at All Star Movies and loved it. The theme was so fun and the grounds so clean. The staff was wonderful and very helpful to a couple of first timers. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The mousekeepers work so hard. Amazingly, we were able to take advantage of another special offer in October and we just booked 3 nights at All Star Music. We're both looking forward to another wonderful experience. I don't know if we will ever be able to upgrade to a moderate resort but for anyone staying the first time at Disney, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a value resort.
