I would definately say a villa  , we travel with my Mum & Dad making 6 in total and we love having all the home comforts, more space for everyone :grouphug:

That's a BIG question you asked there Poco! ;)

You'll get many answers and they will vary depending on whether the person replying prefers on-site or off.

If you want the benefits of on-site, then the best value for money would be the suites at the All Star Resorts. These are some of the very few properties on-site that will sleep 5. You can also sleep 5 in some of the rooms at the Port Orleans Riverside provided one of them is small enough to fit on a rollaway bed.

I guess the best off-site value would be found in a villa. Much more room and privacy. I'm no expert on villas, but there are many on these boards that will be able to help you with that.

In the end it depends on your preferences.

I would say for the size of your party a villa.

You can get hotel rooms and apartments both off site and on that will be large enough for 5, however a villa would be bigger and more comfortable.

I have driven around many of the villa developments over the years so if you ever need any help just pm me.

I have stayed in both. I loved the villas for the extra space and the hotel's for the amenties close at hand but at the end of the day we don't usually spend that much time there, usually out early, back late. It depends on what you are going to do with your family and the ages of everyone.

If you are all old enough and fit enough to be on the go all day probably go for a hotel but if you have younger kids a villa would be your best bet. Being able to chill out with all the home comforts once you get the kids off to bed is ideal.

We decided on a villa for the privacy and the freedom and we like the space. Because of the rate of the dollar at the moment we hired our villa through an american villa company so have saved quite a lot of money, for a 4 bed villa including the tax it has only cost us 600 pounds for 2 weeks at Indian Creek, we thought that was really good value.

Read all the advice though then you can make an informed decision that fits what you want the best.
