The trip won't be until spring 0r fall 2013.DS LOVES Toy Story but I am not sure about the All Stars due to bussing, food court and crowds there. We've only stayed deluxe but this trip must be a value. He likes Little Mermaid movie but doesn't love it-and we could still use Nemo pool and Cars(loves cars) pool and be in a new resort. POP is appealing as well with their one bus stop, food court, lake, bridge to AoA, fireworks but not sure the theming is as exciting for a kid as AoA or All Star Movies.

We are early risers (6Am), rope drop people who like to hang out at the pool in the afternoon. Need a good food court that caters to kids and allergies, quiet room, not too crazy a place crowd wise, not too much walking for little legs that are too big for a stroller, it's only 3 of us (hubby, DS and me) so room size is not a concern.

I still have time to make a decision but I am stuck! I have however come to terms that it must be a value resort or off site if we do any trip at all

I would go with POP with a preferred room. The theming is excellent! My six year old is fighting me on AKL because he loved POP so much last year. They have an excellent food court and we have never had problems anywhere dealing with allergies. I find all of Disney's food courts and restaurants are more than prepared, and POP's food court was no exception. The resort is very fresh still and the dedicated buses make trips to and from the parks very quick. When we were there I know the resort was fairly booked and it never felt crowded. There was a good bit of people at the food court in the morning, but beyond that I never felt like were a ton of people in one place. We also never noticed noise to be a concern.

Since you don't need a family suite, I would go with Pop or Movies. We have stayed at both several times and like them, but I do understand your reservations on the buses at Movies. They can get kinda crowded. Lately, we have been staying at Pop. I think the theme is fine for a boy. Last time, we stayed in a 70s room and had a large Mickey phone and a big wheel outside our room. My boys thought it was great.

Have you considered staying at All-Star Sports? It is smaller than POP and the food court is great. My kids, DD6 and DS3, loved it! When the All-Stars share buses Sports is the first one picked up and dropped off. We only shared buses a few times and it was during the afternoon.

My ds is not a sports lover so I have not even looked at all stars sports- maybe I should. Looks like movies just got redone- rooms look nice online- actually more appealing than pops rooms!
Are the little mermaid rooms slated to be girly? Or what about little mermaid courtyard and pool- anyone know?
Thanks everyone! I just can't decide- maybe once lm rooms open I can write those off or have a better idea about them!
