Best UY for me

Hi everyone
I’m new on this forum but there seems to be some great advise given on here , so here’s my questions
1.Love SSR so looking to buy 220 points, prefer to travel in September/October what is my best UY? I’m thinking May/June?

2.If I buy a loaded contract points for 2020 on and the UY is say July does that
mean I can book a holiday from July onwards and if I don’t use them can I bank them?

3.Is it best to get a Halifax Clarity card to pay for deposit and balance?

4.whats your views on who to use to buy?

5.Is $80-85pp reasonable for SSR that’s kinda what we are budgeting for

There is no May UY, June and Aug UY would work well for those travel times,

You can always book 11 months before the start of your vacation. The UY of the travel is what determines what points you can use when you book,

So, if you wanted to book a July 2021 trip, in Aug 2020, you would call up. This would be in your June 2021 UY. You could book it with banked June 2020 points, June 2021 points, and borrow June 2022 points to complete the reservation.

Right now, I think your budget is a little low from what people are paying. However, everything with resale is negotiable and if that is what you want to pay, you can offer it. If the owner accepts, it goes to Disney for ROFR,

At that price, they may buy it back, which puts you back at square one. However, given the current climate, we don’t know if they will be evening buying back anything so it doesn’t hurt to try.

3.Is it best to get a Halifax Clarity card to pay for deposit and balance?

That's a UK based credit card, right? If so, you may be able to use it to make a deposit. I don't believe that a credit card is an acceptable method of payment for the balance. Typically, a cashier's check or wire transfer is required. Not sure how a UK transaction would complicate the process.
