Best use of Developer points?

We just bought into AKV on 7/19 so i'm fairly new to planning out a DVC vacation to get the best value for my points.

We have 160 Developer points for SSR to use before 7/19/09. DH and his friend are planning on a golf trip in January in a studio for 2 nights (22 points) but now i'm trying to figure out how to use the rest.

Just curious how others have s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d out their developer points. I know for some they need a certain size accommodation, but I was hoping this thread would give me some inspiration to plan our trip by considering different size accommodations and dates of travel.

Hi Hill!

We are from Central Jersey too! We just bought in on 7/23! We are using our 160 developer points in June of 2009. We are hoping to stay 10 nights in a studio. That requires 162 points, so we are going to borrow 2 points from our AKV points to get the max out of our developer points Good Luck with your planning!

I think it all depends on the vacation time you have to take as well as airfare and such. I purchased in June and received developer points as well. I have a fair amount of vacation time and a lot of frequent flyer points so I am using my developer points for 3 seperate vacations. I am going for a week in the end of September, a quick trip labor day weekend and one yet unplanned trip next year in either March or May before the developer points expire.
