Best usage of points outside of WDW?

I was just curious where the best places were to use your points outside of Disney. We bought into DVC thinking we could do this, but haven't yet. I was just wondering if anyone had any great or bad experiences outside of Disney. Would be happy to hear any thoughts on the matter. Thanks.

IMHO most of the weekend breaks don't look great value, but if you've points to burn then they're better than letting em go to waste. The II swaps look fair value as you get a weeks accomodation for pretty much what a weeks of Disney would cost you. Possibly the best value, but only really for a group of three or four, is to use points to stay at the Disneyland Paris resorts. The nightly cost initially looks a little high, but it includes breakfast for all the group and park tickets as well.

The best value outside of DVC will be with II for the top resorts listed during peak times. The cruises during non discounted times will likely be the next best. Actually anything you can get with DVC points that's during a time that is otherwise not discounted (like holidays) will be a decent value. After that your just trading convenience for dollars.
