Best type of stroller for 2.5yo?

Never looked that the Combi or Inglesina will have to check those out then... and if you can give some detail on why the Aria MT isnt that good? I heard the Aria OT is horrible but nothing about the MT.

I'm just not a personal fan of any aria. I find them to be plasticy and have quality issues. Often steering becomes difficult with a heavier child, and I know of wheels falling off and parts getting broken.

But if you've tried it out and like it, don't shy away because of my opinion. Graco also has quality issues, but I was lucky and got a "good" quattro tour that I've beaten into the ground and it has held up amazingly.

I did test drive the strollers with my child in them. The mclaren handled a little better, but not so much so that I would spend $60 more for it. As I said I was looking for something I wouldn't break the bank on as I would not be using it that regularly. Just trying to suggest a buget alternative:) :) The cheapest I found a mclaren anwhere new was $89.99 and with shipping it was going to be over $100.

I just reread your first post and see where we are not compairing apples to apples.

I was looking for a stroller that would work for future trips to WDW. My DS is 2.5 years old and already about 35 pounds. He will be no where near 38 pounds at age 4. He will be pushing the weight limit in the Mac in a couple years I am afraid. :scared1:

I brought my big Graco stroller the first year we went, and it was great! We were able to fold it up and get it onto the trams and stuff, and it's not to big to handle. (This coming from someone that has now gotten used to using a double stroller!)

Plus, it has all of the under seat storage! I think you'll be really happy if you bring that. You have the advantage of not buying a new stroller that way...more money to spend at Disney! Have fun!

I would vote for the Maclaren. I had a triumph and recently upgraded to the quest. I wanted it to recline more. Both are great. They steer great, fold easily, are lightweight, and my kids think they are comfortable. My dd5 is about 50 pounds and it is still easy to push.
Last year we used a combi double and it was good. I also had a combi single but it did not fold or steer as well as the Mac.
As far as the Aria, steering is terrible. It seems cheaper than the graco also.
My sis just purchased the inglesina and loves it.
We have been through all kinds of strollers and I finally love the Mac the best.

My vote is for the Maclaren Triumph too!:cheer2: You can buy a generic cup holder at Babies R Us for $8 that works just fine. My DS is 3 so I didin't care about having a snack tray. I love love love my Triumph!

Peg Perego now has an Aria on clearance on their website for $99 + $12.95 shipping and handling. I just bought it for my son. We have a P3 for our daughter. They will be 3yo and 1yo on our next trip this August. Also, we've always gate checked all our strollers without issue.

We also have a double stroller we used this last December and want to try two smaller lighter strollers this trip instead.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we purchased this and I REGRET it. it did great for the first 2 trips then the steering just went out. It is in great condition, but we are looking for another one. I paid 150 for it. It is very flimbsy and to get it to recline is a pain--it is a strap and toggle recline mechanism. Hope your is better than mine.

Our Graco Quattro Tour has made five trips to Disney in the past 2 years. My son just turned 3 and the Graco is still our Disney stroller. It is a workhorse! It holds SO much stuff, it is awesome! I love that I can hang my diaper bag on the handle without worrying about the stroller tipping over. I put my cooler bag with snacks and drinks in the basket, extra layers, jackets, ponchos, rain covers, etc down there and I'm good to go! We tend not to ride the tram or bus, so folding it up isn't an issue (it certainly can be done, but we like to rent a car and we usually just walk from the parking lot and forgo the tram). I like having the stroller for carting things through the airport, too. This was the first stroller we got and it is still hanging in there. I especially like that the stroller owes me nothing. If it dies on a Disney trip, so be it, but at least I didn't fork out big bucks for it! I accessorize ours with a Kiddopatomus Ray Shade for the Killer Florida sun and it is fantastic!

I really like our P3. If we can get a few good trips from this the Aria then I will not feel that I wasted our money. Thanks for the heads up, though!

I'm another not-a-fan of the Aria. It is very difficult to steer compared to a Mac. The frame flexes or something. That said, I never had any problems with mine, and the weight and the way it folded were great. It was too short for my very tall ex-h though. I only pushed a P3 once, but it handles more like a Mac in my opinion.

The Graco Quattro I loved - but it's sooo big and heavy and the actual seat part is so small compared to the size of the stroller. It was the best "mall" stroller when DS was < 2yo though.

The Mac (Volo) I've had since 2005. No regrets, love it!! Haven't used it in well over a year, probably closer to 2 years, but it will be perfect for Disney.

We also have the Graco Quattro Tour Duo which we LOVE but wanted to try something different this time. That stroller was very nice to use and incredibly easy to maneuver around Disney. It has tons of storage and is very versatile.

I'm a stroller addict!

I am debating between this and a mac twin. A few questions for you--is it really bulcky, can the toddler in the front rest as in be capable to sleep, can the one in front really get to the basket to get their stuff out, how does it steer? Thanks I was looking at the metro one.

The toddler in the front cannot recline to far without interferring with the toddler in the back. I think if you want both to be able to recline, a side-by-side would probaby be best.

As for the bulkiness, it is not bulky whatsoever. When it is collapsed it is really quite compact. It is a bit heavy, though. Steering this stroller is unbelievable! You'd be surprised how easy it is to maneuver it. And the storage is plentiful. We have no regrets over this stroller -- especially given the price. It is really nice.

Here is my son reclined in the back:

We have the Maclaren Triumph too. Works great. When DS's were 3 yrs and 3 mos, we brought it with. The 3 mo old was in the Baby Bjorn most of the time, so a single stroller worked fine for us. Our last trip DS's were 4 & 1, and we rented a stroller because we didn't want the hassle of carrying a stroller on and off the bus. After the 3rd night of carrying two tired kids from the park entrance to the bus stops and then from the bus stop to our room, we decided that we're going to buy a double umbrella stroller for our next trip. We'll probably go with a Maclaren again.
