I was thinking of a baseball cap - but DD refuses to wear one.
I have a Tink pink baseball cap and DH has green-brown Mickey relaxing in a hammock baseball cap - I bought them about 8 years ago in our now gone Disney Store.
I just bought our DS a Soccer Euro England (his favorite team) baseball cap.

Now DD.... what can I get her to wear on her head to avoid the summer sun in WDW ?

I actually don't like baseball caps for sun protection. They may be OK to keep the sun out of your eyes, but they don't protect the lower face, ears or the neck.

I like Tilley hats or bucket hats- something with an all around wider brim to keep the sun off those areas. And they can be scrunched up and stuffed in a bag for rides. I've seen some really cute hats of this sort with colours and decorations for little girs.

It doesn't provide much cover, but I do wear a visor sometimes if I don't wear a baseball hat.

You will get all kind of advice on the style but I will suggest one thing. Have everyone take off their hats whenever they are in the air conditioning and/or shade. That gives the head room to breathe and, trust me, it's a blessing on really hot days.

And don't worry about hat hair. I don't think there's any other guest at Disney World who is going to say "look at that girl with the hat hair!" because if they do they (1) they don't have hat hair so (2) that makes them really dumb if it's 195 degrees in the shade.

I found a one size fits all fishing cap at Wal-mart for $7 for my son (but I wear it sometimes too.) It has a wide brim and flaps for the ears and back of your neck.

Thank you so much!
DH & DS really like baseball caps.
I like my Tinkerbell pink baseball style cap in WDW.
I will check out Tilley for our DD.
Thank you so much!

DH and I wear bucket hats. We call them our "Sweatin' Hats"!

His is heavy canvas a'la Australian outback hat but mine is a really lightweight microfiber. I got it at one of the souvenir shops.....

I am bringing a Nike visor. My DS6 also wears the visors because his head won't get so hot and his faux hawk won't get ruined while sweating it up!! :) I would hate for him to have messed up hair for all the pics we take!!! ;)

Sometimes I wear a visor...sometimes a full brim hat I got a AK and sometimes a floppy farmer-style hat. Usually though my head gets so dang hot I end up with my hat off more than on (unless I wear the visor).
