Best travel day after Christmas on I95 from Baltimore?

Hi all!

What is the best time to travel from Baltimore to Orlando? Do you think Thursday, December 26' or Friday December 27 for best/lightest travel route?

I'm not thinking there will be much difference this year. I suspect many people will be making a long weekend out of it so I don't think the traffic will be bad on either day. I'd go on Thursday just so you can be in Orlando sooner.

We plan to hit the road about 5pm the 26th just like the last trip, we leave from De. and the only real traffic we hit was just below the Md. House so I just jumped over to Rt. 40 and no problems but I guess you are below that area.

I traffic gets Bad
97 south to 50
to 301 is good .....some traffic but no traffic jams.... I think Va 201 puts you out at truck stops at Ruthers Glen Va
I lived in Baltimore for 3 yrs.... I drive a truck and thats how I went south during traffic times

Best Advice Leave at 6pm and only traffic you should hit is in De

Okay so you think if we left the DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS we should be okay. That will be on a Thursday. I think most people will be traveling on a Saturday or Sunday. My husband says no people will be leaving to travel on Thursday! LOL!

Good then according to your husband it will be just your family and mine heading to Disney that day, that will make the drive much easier
