I've been trying to do a search on travel agents, but am not having much luck. So once again, if you have used a travel agent, who did you use? What did you like and not like about using an agent?

A AAA travel agency is the only way you can currently get a discount on a package that includes MYW Dining.

Absolutely correct!

However, if you're not AAA members, maybe try my personal favourite Dream Come True Vacations. I have booked my last trip and upcoming trip through them.

Booking through any of the online Travel agents such as Dream Come True Vacations or DU will cost you the exact same amount as booking through Disney and they will watch for "At-Par" specials or "codes" for you or package discounts whereas Disney will not do that for you or automatically apply discounts on your behalf - if you think you're detailed oriented, wait until you meet one of them!

A good online TA will also make your ADR's for you. When I was initially doing research a while back (this may have changed), some said they don't try for CRT, although I could care less about that as it wouldn't apply to me, that showed be that they're not willing to go the extra mile for clients.

Many online TA's also will not book airfare for you either. That's okay if you're willing to sit in front of your computer for a DING by Southwest or search for the best deals, but you don't have the time to do that, finding a TA who will take care of that for you is important. Personally, I DO book my air myself, because I can wait for the DING's and I DO have the time to search.

Good luck and have fun! Part of the fun to a Disney trip is planning.

My vote is for Dreams Unlimited Travel. They got me my AAA room discount and in the past have passed along discounts to me without me even knowing they were available.

And another happy Dreams Unlimited customer!! I was always able to get the PS(ADR) that I needed. Never had to worry about getting whatever discounts that applied to me. They did it all.

i contacted a few online travel agents/disney specialists when i was planning my last vacation and no one could beat the service (and prices ironically) of Lori at Magical Memories www.magicalmemoriestravel.com ... she's a disboarder and very in-the-know... got me all the ADRs i wanted and was amazing w/her level of service... i cannot say enough good stuff! LOL!

You can use AAA even if you aren't a member, which is what I do. The cost to join versus the added discount was about the same in my case, and since we're flying and didn't need to AAA benefits, joining wasn't necessary. We are paying for the dining plan, but my TA got it for us at a reduced rate of only $25 per person per day - rather than the $35 it normally is!

I'm currently using Dawn at Magical Memories Travel to book my May '06 graduation trip (and first ever family vacation)! She has been fabulous - great service and prices! Plus, if you book a 5+ night stay with them, you get a free Tour Guide Mike membership! :)

Karen at Your Magical Journeys is the best!!!

I used to work for AAA and I still used Your Magical Journeys instead of the agents at my own office  :teeth:

Ditto, Sue Ellen is the greatest, and I'm not just saying that because she's a Mod. on this board ;)

We have used Lori at Magical Memories. The rates she got me were absolutely wonderful for my upcoming trip which I am now able to stay concierge.

I also book through Laura at Small World Vacations. We've used them for a number of years ... very satisfied.

I think you need to find one that you are comfortable in dealing with ... and that will be different for each one. I can highly recommend both Lori at Magical Memories and Laura at Small World Vacations. Both work over the phone and via internet. Their websites are below.

Small World Vacations - Laura - www.wdwvacations.com
Lori at Magical Memories is - www.magicalmemoriestravel.com

I've booked my December trip with Mouse Ears vacations, Doris, she got all my ADrs, tee times for DH and so on, great communication, great service...
