I'll be staying at the Disneyland hotel next summer. It will be the first time staying there since 1990. I know a lot has changed. Which tower would you recommend? :goodvibes

well, an easy answer for me is Sierra with a DD view, but there are many others! Try reading Mary Jo's Stcky thread "important Info" I think she shows pictures of various views :).

I just wrote a little about my experience in a mini review. I'm just back from a stay in Sierra with a DTD view. I thought it was absolutely necessary to have that tower and view, but you know what....I like my city view in Marina better. The Marina room was a lot larger, but I think it as just a big room and not indicitive of all rooms in Marina. The lobby was so much nicer and more exciting. I thought the DTD view would be "WOW" and it was more, oh wow. It wasn't nearly as interesting or neat as I'd expected it to be. I though access to the pool was easier from Sierra, but other than that, the distance to things didn't make much difference.

From photos I've seen, for that "WOW" view I was expecting, I should have stayed at PP with a theme park view.

for me personally, I dont like Sierra Tower...my all time fav is the Marina and I just got back from there...if you check out my TR day 3...Ive got some pics of the room...I love having the lobby right below me for anything i may need :goodvibes

I stayed in the Bonita tower last night w/o a DD view. The room was nice, but the tower felt a bit isolated.

Before our (first ever) trip to Disneyland, I was sold on the Bonita Tower. I just really loved the idea of a waterfall outside the window, and I love the sound of running water.

However, once we arrived and found there was a mix-up on the room request (DH was told I had requested Sierra Tower), I was grateful. We were so tired already, and looking across the courtyard, Bonita looked so very far away. Of course it's not at all, it just seemed that way every time we trudged through at the end of the day, and I couldn't imagine having to walk a few hundred yards more than I had to. ;)

I'm honestly not sure what to request the next time we go. Boldly go for a Sierra park view???

Sierra Tower is most convenient. However, we were pretty high up and had to switch away from a DTD view because it was way too noisy.

I won't stay at DLH again - not crazy about it. However, if I did I might stay at Bonita despite the walk. It just seemed a little more peaceful and resort like in the Bonita area. We hated the Neverland Pool (we were there in the summer - it was packed wall to wall people and freezing cold) and spent more time at the quiet pool by Bonita.

We enjoyed our room in the Marina tower.

It was a spacious room (2 queen beds and a fold down sofa), and it overlooked the Neverland pool. Also, being in the same building as the lobby was kind of nice - every once in a while we'd be suprised to see a Disney character in the lobby.

We also thought the Neverland Pool was cold. However, on our most recent trip to DL we stayed at the Paradise Pier, and the pool there was nice and warm - it felt really nice! Maybe it's because the Paradise Pier pool is smaller and so it's easier to heat compared to the Neverland Pool, which is very large and probably harder to heat and keep warm. Just a theory. :sunny:

I really like the Bonita Tower. It is a little further of a walk (not too bad) but I love the view of the waterfalls below. Our last room was higher up and we were able to watch the fireworks from our room! My DH was amazed that we could see Knott's Berry farm too..
