Best tour book guide that includes upcoming wohp

Any one know of a good tour book that would helps with first time visit to universal parks? going after the opening of harry potter so would like that to be included too....

I wouldn't think anything is out yet since this has been a huge secret for several years now and most people have not been let in. The guidebooks probably won't be updated until next year once everyone has had a chance to experience the WWoHP.

What's the "best" guidebook without WWoHP? Is the "unofficial" guide the best? How about one a few years old? I like how the unofficial guide gives a good description of each ride, who might like it, how crowded it is (at least that's what it does for Disney). Just not sure I want to spend $ to get a new copy or buy a used one froma previous year. How much "new" stuff has there been prior to last year's book addition?

Yeah, there isn't going to be a hard copy source for Harry Potter for a while. It's all going to be word of mouth and gathering information online!

Kelly's book is ABSOLUTE best book for Universal...

It covers rides and eats and shopping at both parks and City Walk. And includes all info on the hotels too.

Like Metro said...no book will be updated w/ HP till it's been open and people can write about it.

We aren't going until March of next year (fairly late in the month). This looks like a great book, but I think I'll wait till January of 2011 to order as they may have Harry Potter stuff in by then.

FYI: I have the book "Beyond Disney, the unofficial guide to Universal Orlando, SeaWorld, and the Best of Central Florida". It's OK and better than nothing, but not anywhere near as good as the "Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World". Thanks for the post. I'll be looking forward to reading the other book mentioned.

I have no doubt Kelly will update next year's version w/ Harry Potter included.

If you aren't going till then, I would wait too. It does have a LOT of Universal info in it.

However, if you are going this summer, 2010's is better than nothing. The description of DC and FOTH will be the same as DD and FU.

The only thing really not included is the HP new FJ ride and the 3 Bstix restaurant and the HP shops.

Everything else is the same.

Oh...and I have had UOG to Disney...Kelly's book is VERY comparable to the UOG for Disney

You can always check a book out at the library, just to see what is available now, then buy the most current edition closer to your trip. Just a little more $$ saved for your Universal trip.
