Best toiletry bag for traveling? Mine is getting worn and I'd like to get a new one before our next trip. I need links! Or really good descriptions so I can find the items. :) I've read about some on other threads but can't find the products.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

I have the family size one from L.L. Bean http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/203?nav=gnro-hp

It is very large but is offered in other sizes. I love mine and have had it for several years and it has held up to many, many trips. I have even washed it in the washing machine when I had some bottles that leaked and it still looks terrific.

I too have the LL Bean family size bag. I like it so much I am contemplating get one a little smaller, sometimes family bag too big. I have had this bag for years and it still looks like brand new.

I also have the LL Bean bag but don't use it if we fly. It makes the suitcase too heavy with all of the toiletries in one bag. I do use it on all of our road trips though.

I have the largest one too, holds everything.

(Hi Kendra!)

I have the small and the medium. I use the one that fits the needs for that trip.

They match our rolling duffle bags.

I bought a Venus (the razors) gift set 5+ years ago that came with a toiletry bag and I that is the bag that I have been using ever since. The bag has been well used and is holding up better than all of the much more expensive bags I have purchased in the past

Several years ago, my mom bought me an Igloo cooler that looks like a tote bag, that's what I use as my toiletry bag. If something gets spilled, it's easy to wip out. Most of my stuff can sit upright and I don't think I have had anything spill yet. It holds alot of stuff, too. It came from Target. You may not be able to see the picture, so try the link

Another vote for the L.L. Bean bag. I've used mine 3 days a week at the gym for years and it hasn't even begun to look used. L.L. Bean products are not always the cheapest but I have found that you get your money's worth out of them. I had a shirt that my wife bought for me before we were married that I finally threw out after 17 years. I still have one that is about 15 years old. I cringe when I pay $40-$50 for shirt from them, but when I realize it will probably last me 20 years and I'll really like the way it fits and wears I go ahead and get it...when it goes on sale. Plus, we have the L.L. Bean visa card which gives us free shipping (even on returns) and free monogramming and we earn points towards gift certificates at L.L. Bean. It's all good.

I love toiletry bags and have a ton. My favorite gift to give my female friends and family is a toiletry bag stuffed with goodies. BUT I'm also a budget freak so I shop through-out the year and get toiletry bags when they go on super sale. The best place I've found currently, is at Target. Every season as they replace their bags with more current season prints and colors, they will seriously mark down their bags (25, 50, 70 % progressively). I have also found good bags at ELF a couple years ago but haven't checked them recently. The best bags are hanging bags that have a wipeable lining. BUT I also find a hatbox type bag that sits on a counter and allows full access to your things helpful - but ONLY if you have a counter that has a lot of room. For Disney, I usually need the hanging bag. I have had good luck with Contents bags (on sale, last a long time, useful, etc.) but I could not find one online that matched what I exactly have at home but it looks like this:

I did splurge on a sale Vera bag though and it is fabulous - mini hanging organizer. I absolutely adore this bag! But it is only for smaller items such as make up:

I have been using LL Bean toiletry bags for about 14 years. I recently got a new one only because it has pockets on the sides and is laid-out a little better than the original version, but my oldest one is still perfectly fine.

They wash up well and fit a ton of stuff! I have spilled all kinds of stuff in them and they still look like brand new.

i have two kinds i love. the first one that has stood the test of time is my nick and nora set. has outlasted the set of luggage it came with and with three sizes it makes it easy to organize. the largest size small travel size products can stand up in or a few large size products can lay on their sides. i don't believe they make my exact set anymore but they have similar sizes/shapes. i have also seen betsey johnson ones at marshall's that are identical.

my other favorite that i am using right now is a train case with a large cosmetic bag. mine is from a designer but what i love is that all the travel sizes can stand up and i have pockets on the side to organize smaller items. the cosmetic case is long enough to fit brushes and makeup.

Check out the 31 gifts website. Their bags and awesome! They have a new cosmetic bag coming out in September, so it's not on the website yet, the handle has a plastic clasp so you can loop it around a towel bag or shower curtain rod and it will hang.

I just wanted to update that I ordered the LL Bean toiletry bag, the family sized one. I just got it and it is perfect! I love it, that is exactly what I needed. Thank you everyone!

my toiletry bag(s) are good old fashioned Ziploc bags. They are see through which makes it easy to find things and when (not if) something leaks/spills then there is another in the cabinet ready and waiting.

Another LL Bean fan here! I have a medium one from years and years ago, and I found the small version at a yard sale 2 weeks ago for $1. I was psyched. It had someone else's monogram on it, but I was easily able to pick it off with a seam ripper and some patience. :)

Strangely enough I found a generic one at Walmart for dd for a school trip that I ended up loving so much that I went back and got another. They open with a hook to hang on a towel rack which I love. They also have 3 large (2 inside, one on the back) clear compartments that zip for things that might spill, and refillable toiletry bottles for soaps and shampoos etc.
It doesn't often happen that something I grab at the last minute out of necessity turns out to be exactly what I wanted but these are great. They are also vinyl so can be wiped down from spills.

I have the medium LL Beam travel bag. I have used it for over 10 years and it has been perfect. I do not take it on trips where I do carry on only, but I always miss it if I don't have the bag. Just a great size for me. I try to keep it ready to go, as this was especially helpful when my kids were involved in travel for sports. Such a time saver! I would refill all the smaller containers from my larger shampoo/conditioner/hair gel when I was unpacking from a trip. My husband has the same bag, it is just so easy to hang for easy access.
I did purchase the small Vera travel bag, but it is really small. I just don't find I use it much at all.

I have a Vera hanging toiletry bag, after admiring my Mom's for a couple years. LOL

She bought me one a week or so ago for my birthday and I've already transferred all my stuff into it and it's ready to go on my next getaway. :)

I have that too, it matches my make-up bag. I can not fiqure out how to get it closed!!! HELP! Mine has one tie on one side and it folds up but I can't tie it, is mine missing a tie?
