I'd really love to find a new toiletry bag for our upcoming cruise. I've had a few over the years, but haven't been all that excited over any of them for various reasons.

Do you have one you love? What exactly do you like about it?

Do you have one that you dislike? Why?

I'd love to hear any suggestions you all have.

Thanks in advance!

I've had one for a number of years from Lands' End. What I like about it is that it has a hook - so I can hang it from a towel bar or door hook if there's no room for it on a shelf.

We each have one from LL Bean that I love. It has a lot of compartments and you can hang it from a towel rack, door, etc.

Another LL Bean fan here. DH and I have the medium and it fits our needs.:thumbsup2 We plan on using it for our 2 week Pc cruise.

What exactly do you like about it? It fits most regular size items, shampoo, toothpaste and etc.

Do you have one that you dislike? Why? I bought one at Wlamart, a Basics.

Works well for short trips for one person. Only holds travel size things.

I have both the medium and the family size - I'm taking the family sized one on our PC Repo cruise because it hold everything and hangs from the closet bar...

Just note... the grape is REALLY purple... I have the blue and the flowered one...

My wife has this Mary Kay rollup organizer that is great. She got it for ordering some product...I found one on ebay if anyone wants to see a picture:

Basically it has 4 traingular caddys that velcro on to the hangable base. It rolls up for storage though this can take up a bit of space in luggage so we separate it all and store it that way. Each of us gets our own comparment and we have one leftover for first aid type stuff. It's clear so you can see everything which is also very nice.

I have this bag!!! I absolutely love it. It has compartments for everything you need and it folds up into a nice carrying case. It also has a hook so you can hang it up. Plus, each compartment comes off if you need to take it into a bathroom or something. I woul definitely recommend this one!

I also would recommend the Mary Kay Roll up bag! I love it! You can always contac a consultant for one. This really is a great bag. I love the fact that each of the four compartments has velcro on it. You can simply remove one compartment and take it with you instead of having to move the whole thing. I also love that fact that you can hang it up. Since the four pockets are triangle, you can open leave open pockets and and nothing will fall out. This really is a great bag!!!!

I would be the wife. It is a great bag. My consultant gave it to me for spending an awful lot of money, and it's been worth it. What I love is that if I'm just going somewhere by myself for work, I can tuck one of the triangles in my bag and it doesn't take up a lot of room - yet I can pack everything I need for myself for a week in it! Since the pouches are removeable, you can take as few or as many. Most times we leave the hang-up part at home, but it comes in handy for hanging on the back of the bathroom door in the stateroom on DCL! :thumbsup2

You all sold me on this!! Just bought one on eBay for $7.99 plus $4.50 shipping..... I figure for traveling, I can take the compartments off and stash them in the corners of my suitcase so they take up less room.... and then I can put the bag back "together" and hang it up in the bathroom in my stateroom. :thumbsup2

We each have our own LL Bean and love them. They hang right on the towel bars and are out of the way.

I too got the LLBean before our 06 Cruise and I love it. I got the large and it is ALL MINE. It holds everything. I keep it packed all the time and only had my favorite makeup. I may get them for older DDs soon.

I have the mary kay bag too, but it really only holds small items. I do use it for all my trips and like it. But, I also have to take another bag to hold my shampoo, hairspray, hair brushes or anything big. I am looking at the LL Bean bag to replace both bags for traveling. Just thought I would share another perspective.

I have a question about the LL bean family size bag. Does it fit in your medium sized suitcase? Thanks!

I have the MK roll-up bag too and LOVE it! I have had it for years and use it every time we travel. I used it on our cruise and it was very convenient. I hung it on the hook outside of the bathrooms.

That's exactly what we do! It works great! The only stuff we usually end up packing separately is my contacts, and that's because I end up carrying them on the flight. Everything else toiletry-wise, plus medicine, etc. goes in one of the pouches. Works like a charm.

I'll admit, though - I am still looking for an over-the-door shoe holder for the cabin, though - our bathroom stuff may be pretty well taken care of, but we still end up with little stuff all over the desk!!

These bags look awesome! I want to get them... can't decide on how many. We're a family of 5, 2 teen sons, 8 year old DD and then hubby and I. I don't know if I should get three smaller ones or one big one, or one per stateroom (the kids will be in one, DH and I in the other...). Any suggestions? :lmao:

I'd suggest 2 large ones...

I have both the med and the family ones... one is great for my week here in TX... the other I take for 2 or more weeks, but it's just me...

Good luck!

Those LLBean bags look great, but how do you carry them? Do you carry them separately or put them inside your suitcase?
