Just booked 2 weeks in July offsite ( 3miles away).:cool1:
Have never stayed offsite - any travel/organizational tips that would be different ??:confused3

Very excited !!! yay!

Most of our trips have been off site, and it has worked out great for us. We LOVED staying on-site, but we've had the condo for 17 years and we can't let it go unused! Are you staying in a hotel, or something larger? At hotels I try to bring things that help keep me organized. Laundry bags, zip-lock bags of asst sizes and last time a hanging shelf for the closet. At the condo we treat it just like home, complete with making a big yummy breakfast before hitting the parks. Hope you have a Magical Time!

We stayed last summer at the Marriott Horizons off site and it was fabulous. We had not problems with traffic and it was a nice change of pace from the parks. It was great to have a car & go to the grocery store - we bought a case of water, froze the bottles & carried them with us through out the day at the parks which saved lots of $$. The resort wasn't at all crowded and it was nice and quiet too ...

I think wherever you are it is what you make it. A few tips - driving in - if you get there before the parks open the parking lots aren't open either - we felt guilty but there were a few days we just coasted in, and we actually asked but were told by the parking attendants that we did not have to pay so that was a nice surprise. Also, AAA has a parking discount card you can get - lots of people sell them on e-bay too.
