Hi all,

We're being brave and facing the spring break crowds - no choice in the matter really. Anyhoo - can anyone offer some tips to make it as enjoyable as possible?

Many thanks

Get to the Parks about 30 min before they open and be prepared to do the most popular rides first, use your fastpasses and do large capacity rides when the Park gets crowded. Don't go to an EE park if you're not going to be there for EE. Also leave the park after lunch for a break and go back later in the evening. We're going in the summer and the same strategy works.

i went last yr during spring break and it was very crowded. we went to the most popular rides first and took advantage of the fast pass. also in the magic kingdom a lot of people tend to go right and head to tomorrowland, i good idea would to go left to adventureland and it tends to be less crowded.

My advice is Tour Guide Mike... We used him for Thanksgiving and his info was right on.. We RARELY waited for anything! We will use him again!

When do the Spring Break crowds hit anyway? We're going Mar 7 - Mar 13 and I expect we'll hit some of that but was hoping not the whole time.

We were there Easter Week last year. I second everything posted by Babs50. Get to the park early and use fastpass. The only park that we found truly unbearable at times was MK. It would get hard to even walk around after noon. But, MK opened to resort guests at 7am, so we'd have 5 hours at the park before noon. Then we got out of there and went back to the hotel to swim and relax, or we went to Epcot. Epcot never seemed to crowded. The lines for MS and TT would get very long, though.

My other tip would be to make ADRs if you want to eat in a sit down restaurant. We were so glad we made more ADRs than usual. If was nice to sit down and relax. And we saw many people trying to eat ANYWHERE and discovering most of the restaurants were booked. We spent more on dining than we'd hoped, but it was worth it.

There are 2 places it worked going later in the day. We went to Blizzard Beach at 2 pm, which seemed to be the time everyone was starting to head home. They were open til 6 so we had 4 hours of fun. We'd already had lunch, so we didn't have to worry about a meal. By 5 pm we had the place to ourselves. We also went to AK at 3:30. After the 4 pm parade, everyone went home and the park was very uncrowded for the next few hours.

We had a great time. Don't let the crowds worry you. The parks are open so early and so late that you'll get to what you want to do. We just didn't get much sleep!!!

I've been to WDW over Spring Break/Winter Break on our past 6 or 7 trips, so we're definitely used to the crowds. Definitely try and take advantage of the extra magic hours if you can. I agree with the post saying to avoid going to the park that has the early entry if you won't be there (our last trip we were offsite, and did this). Also, I don't know what others' experiences are like, but we generally would go to the Animal Kingdom in the afternoon. It seemed to be somewhat less crowded. Have a great trip!

It depends on when you are going. We generally go in mid March, and it has only been crazy the one time when Easter was toward the end of March. Otherwise, it hasn't been that bad. We are also past the "I have to do everything" WDW trips, and tend to take a more laid back approach.

I think the worst spring break time is the week before and after Easter. If you want to see everything, we had a lot of luck using the Unofficial Guide to plan our days. You do have to get there early and have a plan.

Get all your PS scheduled and have a plan. Mk is the most affected during that time of year.

Being there first thing in the morning after eating a big breakfast is the best piece of advice as well as using FP.

I would also bring more snacky foods like granola bars, candy cars, etc since sometimes there is even a wait to buy ice cream, popcorn, etc!
