Now that we have signed all the papers, I was planning to take a trip to DW sometime this summer. We still don't have our pins so we can't call in yet.

I noticed on another thread that June is quite full (92% occupancy) and was wondering if July and August are about the same.

I know that the parks seem full almost every day thoughout the year but was wondering if there were times that getting into BCV are easier on a last minute basis?

Anytime is a good time to stay at BVC. If there are rooms. Which in my experience is hardly ever. We have a trip Aug/Sept and am waitlisted for 2 nights of our stay. The resort is small and fills up quick. there are alot of BVC fans.
If not this time then another.
Enjoy another resort this time if BVC is not avail.
there are many more years to stay at BVC

We usually stay at OKW, own VWL, this time we opted for BCV. The 2 nights we are waitlisted we have at BWV. Either way we are happy. :)

We have only stayed at BCV in May, I like to be there for the Flower show. This year I was able to book 1 night in June as well (that's all I wanted for the June trip, we're really trying a 1 bedroom at OKW for that stay.) May has been a very lovely time to be at the BCV! We're bring my DMom/Sis there for Mother's Day.

Bobbi :)

If you really want to go to WDW this summer I would make a reservation at a different DVC resort that is available and then put yourself on the waitlist for BCV. OKW or SSR are probably available. If BCV becomes available then you will be called by Member Services and you can cancel OKW/SSR and grab BCV.

If you can go at the drop of a hat, then June may open up a bit more as the 31 day deadline for cancelation comes closer for later in June. Some DVC members will wait until the last minute to cancel their reservations.

We were at OKW in December 2005. Although we would have liked BCV, it wasn't available. As it turned out, OKW was just fine. It was not far from Downtown Disney and my DS and DIL wanted to go there to the movies a couple times. Transportation to the parks was easy, there are several bus stops. The units themselves are quite large and well equipped. I'd suggest that you try it, they've just redone the pool recently. We didn't try it because it was cold but by now it should be perfect.
