What are some of the best times (as in not busy) to go miniature golfing for either Winter/Summerland or Fantasia. My husband has never been and I'm really not that good at it, so we would rather go with the least amount crowds. I just hate to be the slow ones and having to stop all the time to let other people play through. We will be there May24-June1. We were planning on avoiding the parks on Memorial Weekend, would this be a good time to go or are there a lot of people who will have the same plan as us?

My suggestion is to go when they open in the AM....It is not as hot and much less crowded...

I've only been there in the in the day, once, and we were there right after it opened and it was definitely NOT crowded. However, it did begin to fill up by the time we were heading out.

However, I would think that Winter Summerland would be pretty empty late at night because the resort buses that stop at Blizzard Beach don't run at that time so everyone there had to drive. Or am I wrong in assuming this?

We went to Winter Summerland at night during our trip in '99. We were there until 11 p.m. and didn't know the buses stopped running!!!!! We were having such a great time and the weather was so nice out. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. Plus, the nice Cast Member called someone with a mini-van to take us back to the All-Star Music. So it worked out. But I'm planning on going back this trip, but this time I'll know the bus schedule before I go! :p

We usually get two rounds in at Winter Summerland. We didn't really care for Fantasia - it was much more crowded, and not as fun of a course for us. My husband is pretty good, but I am not (unless I have indulged in libations). We stay until close at 11PM, which of course feels like 8PM to us!!!

We play miniature golf quite a bit at WDW, and found the very best time to be in the middle of the afternoon, when the weather is at it's worst (ie hot). Most folks would rather be in the pool.
The advice about Winter/ Summerland in the PM is good. During the day they get a lot of business from folks at Blizzard Beach. At nite, only people playing there are those able to drive there in cars.
One other tactic-just be first in line at each course when they open in the AM.
