Hello,

What times do you all suggest for lunch and dinner? We want to plan at the best times so we enjoy ourselves the most. Also, of course to miss the crowds! :thumbsup2

Thanks,

We go early, hitting the parks just as they open and trying to avoid the crowds each step. We found that if we get lunch by 11:30 (sometimes even 11:15 if the kids are hungry), we miss the bulk of the lunch crowds, and we usually do dinner ADRs for between 5:00 and 5:30.

Yep, we do light breakfast, lunch around 11, and dinner ADRs around 5.

I think it depends on who you're going with. If you're going with kids, then the earlier times are probably better. However, if it's just adults (like when we go), we tend to do an early lunch (11:30ish), and afternoon snack, and a later dinner (generally 7:30 or 8).

Just depends on who's in your group.

It's actually just the two of us - DH and I. With a dinner not being until 7:30 or 8, isn't it possible we would miss things like Fantasmic or Illuminations at 9pm?

dinner later is great but you have to plan around fireworks if you have more than one day to spend at epcot and magic thenhave one day late reservation and the other early or after fireworks like at 930 or 10 we did this and the food was still hot on buffets etc and the rest were almost compleately deserted. you could always try eating at cali grill and watch fireworks from there.

The pp is right. It would take some planning. I neglected to say that we actually did plan around Illuminations and things like that. We're going for 9 days, so we were able to work around all of the things we wanted to see.

You might want to try a late lunch (3-3:30). The food selections are usually the same, but a little cheaper than going during dinner time.

Kids or no kids avoid the prime time slots for all meals!
Avoid:
Breakfast 8:30-10:00
Lunch 12:00 - 2:00
Dinner 6:00 - 8:00

Eat before or after these times and you will have less wait & fewer crowds IMHO.

Can't help with lunch, but for dinner we always eat at 6:00 and USUALLY beat the big crowds. Of course--if you make ADR's, that'll help whatever time you decide to eat.

Kevin & I always eat earlier than most. Since it is just you and your DH, you might want to consider our usual plan of attack. It seems best this way in avoiding long waits for food etc etc.

Our typical day in the World means:

Revelry at 6:30am
Breakfast at 7
EMH at one of the parks
Lunch 11:30
NAP time at 3
Dinner at 5 - 5:30
(we think this is the best dining time...the restaurants are just getting set for dinner and have never waited for anything)
EMH at one of the parks or PI
a late snack 10pm or so
Bed Time by 12:30
