I am planning a trip to disney in 2010 for my whole family. I am trying to plan it when the park will be the least crowded. I have been told that a few days after Thanksgiving is good. There will be kids but the school policy allows children to get their homework early, so school will not be a problem Any help on when to schedule would be greatly appreciated. :thumbsup2

Best time? ANYTIME!!! But seriously, that's really a tough one. Formerly 'slow' times have had celebrations, parties, and special events to keep them from being too slow. That said, we were there December 5 - 11 last year and thought it was great. Longest line was just 20 minutes or so. We use fast pass and single rider, so that cuts down on wait time. And can I say "WOW" when it comes to the decorations!!!!! I still keep the Icicle Castle on my cell phone wallpaper. Thanksgiving week itself can get a little crazy, we were there a long time ago over that week. But if you go the week following Thanksgiving, I think you'll be fine. Have a magical vacation!

I would say mid October as it is cooling off and you can go to MNSSHP, hands down the best event at Disney.

We try to go the end of February or beginning of March. The weather is usually beautiful!!!

Thank you everyone. When you are having to plan for 15 people it gets a little overwhelming.

The week or two before Thanksgiving is nice too. Not the week of though, we have done this many times and always leave by the latest Fri or Sat before Thanksgiving. Hardly no waiting for rides, most were just walk on, the headliners had 15-20 min waits but you could Fast Pass those, which we did. The weather is usually nice but managable, mid 70's low 80's, although last year we did hit a cold snap. The decorations were already up too, we even were able to attend the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

BEAUTIFUL!!!:yay:

The Christmas lights were already up the last 2 weeks of November? I would love for my family to be able to catch the Christmas festivites.

Love September. Yes, it's hot. But crowds are relatively small. Plus I can be there for my birthday and MNSSHP! :cheer2:

What are crowds like on Halloween? We will be in Disney World from Oct. 29 to November 1st. Compared to other times of the year, what are crowds generally like during this time, and is Oct. 31st itself EXTRA busy?
