If you could choose between going to Disney World the week before Christmas, or the week between Christmas and New Year, when would you go? (Factoring in crowds) We are considering a trip for next year, 2011. Thanks for any input you can give.

Definitely the week before! We went Dec 14-23 and it was great! Crowds didn't start picking up until around the 21st. The week between Christmas and New Years is the busiest week of the entire year at Disney :scared1:

If crowds are why you are asking, definitely the week before. There is really no comparison between the two. Once around the 20th or so hits, crowds just continue to build until New Year's. Dec 26 - January 1 or 2 is the most crowded time of the year. And the most expensive - since this is the budget board.

if you can go the 2 week in Jan it is by far the best! no lines...even for photos!, nice and cool. We laugh because our pictures look like we had the whole place to ourselves with no one else in them.

this is an easy one... the WEEK BEFORE!!

so beautiful there at xmas, decorations are wonderful. I've only been there then, can't imagine what it looks like without the decorations!

have fun planning!!!

Without a doubt...the week before. The week between Christmas Day and New Years Day is the busiest week of the year. I can't even imagine tackling those crowds....
