Best time to purchase airfare

Is there a good time to purchase airfare for our trip? We are leaving March 2, 2016. Everything is so high right now and the planes hardly have any seats reserved. I have tried flying in and out of different airports but they are all about the same.

Not sure where you are flying from but Southwest usually has really good deals in June. Three months after you get back...sorry.
