I have finally convinced my dear BF that we should go to DLR/DCA!! :cool1:
However, due to university schedules and other time commitments, we can only go in May 2015.
I have been to DLR twice, about 7 and 9 years ago - both those trips were in February. When is the best time to go in May?

If anyone else has tips or suggestions for our trip it would be much appreciated! pixiedust:

We went last month, May 11-15. We thought it was a perfect time to go, except for the freak heat wave that hit while we were there. Crowds were low, wait times were short, but I think the triple heat drove off locals and day trippers. We had a great time, and thought that crowds were much lower than our October trips.

We went last month too, May 20th to the 25th. The temperture never got over 79 in the day and nights were comfortly cool. We also got the Welcoming of Summer" in-which the two Parks was open 24 hours (May 23, 6:00am-6:00am).

May is off season until you hit Memorial Day. So if you go before that pay attention to entertainment schedules on weekdays which are usually reduced.

The later int he month you go the less likely refurbs will be happening.

And next year is DL's 60th anniversary. That could really impact May.

You just never know.....I thought Wednesday and Thursday, May 7-8th would be perfect, and the crowd predictor sites claimed it would be a ghost town.....NOT. It was super crowded and lots of rides were down. Granted, it was still a wonderful visit, but a lot more crowded than I was expecting.

The more I go to Disney, the more I believe there are two seasons. Summer/Holiday Season & Everything Else Season. There's really crowded times when school is out, and then there's the rest of us who read these boards and fill up the parks the rest of the time. It's not as bad as a holiday or summer, but it's still got a lot of people roaming the parks.
