Ok So I'm FINALLY setting a date, we have been deciding what we wanted to do forever.

Well I'm thinking its either gonna be March or April, Anyone know if weddings are busy this time of year? Or how the weather is? I think hurricane season runs June- November, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

I thought too everyone can say when they got married and why, you know your personal reasons like a special date, or the park wasn't crowded, or if it was just a small chance of having your wedding collide with a hurricane. :flower3:

Mermaidbride1108, here is some weather info for Orlando: click here. In that table you can see average high's, low's, rainfall, etc.

I hope that helped.

We got married in the Fall because my husband and I both love that time of year...the colors, the flowers, the leaves... :cutie: We also found that it was easier to book vendors in the Fall too.

Disney is busy all year for weddings........we exchanged vows in late June. It was wonderful! Any day you pick will be perfect. Good Luck!

If you follow what Disney charges for hotel rooms, mid-February to mid-April is considered peak season. There are a lot of families because of various spring break schedules. For example, Port Orleans French Quarters:

I read in another DIS forum last week the days around Valentine's Day and President's Day this year were very busy.

Hurricane season is June 1st to November 30th. I steer clear during that time even if it's just for peace of mind. I know the chance of running into a hurricane or its effects is not high - your chances might be 1 in 25 - but I'm not interested in tempting Mother Nature, especially travelling with wedding guests who may not have all the proper insurance.

Wanted a "cool" weather season. Because of dates we married March 6th. Was still great weather. Being a FL, June-Nov. is HOT.

Im sorry I dont have any experience with March or April, but we got married in January and it was PERFECT weather. We wanted to do it then because of the crowds, the weather wasn't too hot or cold, and it was value season so our guests could come and not have to worry too much about spending a fortune!!

I know with Disney that they are always booked.. I am hoping for a November wedding, we will see when I call this year..

We got married on March 23. The wedding day had perfect weather, sunny and in the mid 70's. The night before when we did our wishes cruise, it was freezing, we were all bundled up under blankets and couldn't wait to get back to shore.

We picked September...yes, the peak of the hurricane season. I live in a hurricane prone area, so that didn't really bother me. Plus, I know Disney is located more inland so the chances of a high category "direct hit" were not as bad as on the coast. In addition, if a hurricane kept us there for a few extra days, I wasn't going to complain! ;)

We actually picked September because DH's birthday is in March, mine is in July, and then there's Christmas. Picking September gave us a "celebration" every quarter!:rotfl: Weird, I know!

Anyway, the timing worked out perfectly! It was still warm like summer (I like summer) but it was "off peak" season so the hotel prices were less, and the parks were not crowded at all!

Hiwaygirl... DF and I were thinking of September.. Does it rain alot that month???

From what I've heard, you can expect rain almost every afternoon in September.

The week we were there (Mon-Thurs) it rained for about 30 minutes on Tuesday afternoon (right after our ceremony). It also rained Thursday afternoon (maybe 2 hours or more). It was enough to make us leave Epcot and head back to the room. Part of that was I was tired after three days of "GO! GO! GO!" and part of it was it was actually raining a bit too hard.

We initially chose September-- which I think is a great time to get married. We pushed it back due to 'preparedness' (I was scared i wouldnt have enough time to plan) -- so we then chose November. Ive been to Disney in September before and it only rained once our entire week there and it was for about 15 minutes. Rain is certainly a hit and miss type of thing.

In november we didnt encounter any rain what-so-ever... which was really nice. We had absolutely beautiful weather and it was warm (shorts and t's). Our last day there we could have used long sleeved t-shirts but it was nothing big.

Im somewhat bias and think November is a great month-- but seriously any month you choose will be perfect.:goodvibes
