Best Time to Book Contemporary

I am looking to stay at CR the week of Nov 11th ( cheapest room avail). I haven't booked yet because I am hoping for some deals to come out. How long could I wait....does this resort typically sell out. If I booked room only now, could I make changes if a discount comes out later. I am hoping for a room discount vs free dining.

If you are going regardless of whether or not a discount comes out, I would book now to make sure you get what you want. The garden wing rooms seem to sell out fast since they are the cheapest. If you book now and a discount comes out later, you can call and have the discount applied to your reservation, provided that resort/room type is available under the discount. With that said, sometimes you have to be flexible with your resort/room type as not all resorts are included in promos and having a reservation in place does not guarantee a discount can be applied. Also, if you book room only now and want to change to a package later (i.e., free dining), the room only would have to be cancelled/refunded and a package booked, requiring a new $200 deposit (or payment in full if this is done 45 days or less prior to arrival). The same goes for going from a package to room only. Since room only and packages are different reservation systems, money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other and you can't convert a room only reservation to a package by just adding tickets.
