Best time of year

First of all, thank you so much for your advice in helping me plan my April trip. I had SUCH a great time and I can't wait to go back!

What time of year is generally considered the best, in terms of crowds, weather, and ride refurbishments? Splash Mountain is an absolute must for me. I went on it three times, which wasn't nearly enough.

It's tough to beat the middle of June.

I think Splash usually goes down in January for refurbishment, right after the holidays.

Look at the AP blocked calendars and try to book when most are blocked.
Weekday and mid week I hear are lightest crowds.

Keep in mind, some say there are no real slow times anymore.

Everything a tradeoff. I agree it is hard to beat May and June if you can work around grad nights - which seem to impact people differently. Some hardly notice and others prefer to avoid it.

Monday after Candle.....folks don't visit that weekend, so they choose another week, opening up the week for light crowds
* weather is cool, easy to manage
* winddy, so high probability of no fireworks or WOC, so evenings are light
* dark earlier, so not exhausted to see a whole different park at night
* water rides have no lines
....and if all else fails......wonderful Christmas decor on every possible inch....that is a day standing by it self
