We are going to take our first trip without our kids for the first time since our honeymoon.

It will be short, about 3 days.

What's the least crowded between those dates?

Thanks

Michele

From what I have read the first two weeks of December are nice. You also get the bonus of the Christmas decorations and assorted Christmas activities.

I would also say the best time to go to WDW is the first two weeks of December.

Second week in December....it's awesome here. No crowds, the parks decorated to the nines for the holidays. Lots of holiday special events. However, during that time-frame that you mentioned the Food and Wine Festival takes place in Epcot. That's also a wonderful event, even if it is a bit more crowded. But if you're looking for strictly low crowds....2nd week in December.....

Ditto, second week of December. Then you can avoid Pop Warner week. Crowds are minimal during the week, but pick up on the Friday.

Sorry, I can't help on the Pop Warner question but as for a great time to go, I would suggest the first or second week in October. Dh and I love to go 'kid-less' during this time for the F&WF: great food, great drinks!, awesome entertainment!

However, I would have to agree with others on the second week in December if you are looking for low crowds and a nice atmosphere. Enjoy...

Can any one enlighten me - what is Pop Warner week???
I'm there first two weeks in December!!

Thanks

To all who feel that the first 2 weeks in Dec. are a good time to go:

Are you referring to the first full 2 weeks ? I ask because I planned our upcoming trip for Dec around pop warner as they will be (hopefully) gone by the time we arrive. I booked Dec 14th thru the 21st - which is the third week of Dec. Is the 3rd week of Dec. generally busier than the first 2? It has to be less congested than my original idea for a winter week in WDW - which was the week between Xmas and New Years. What was I thinking with that idea??? I am just hoping for lines that are no where near as lengthy as they are in the mid-summer and mild weather (as compared to winter in MA, brr).

not sure about crowds but if you check in by the 4th of oct. you will get free dining. Not sure though on how many nights you need to stay for.

InnerStrength,

We went to WDW Dec. 14-20 in 2001 and 2002. It was not crowded at all. In 2001, we had temps in the low 80's all week. In 2002, most of the week was cold. It started to warm up two days before we returned home. The closer to Christmas you go, the more crowded it usually is.

Kathy,

Thanks so much for the reply. This Dec. trip is a first for us as far as going that time of year. I am just hoping for mild weather (not 80's, but if it was I wouldn't complain), however will pack accordingly. I thought it would fun to see the parks decorated for Christmas and hopefully enjoy some shorter lines in the process.

Lori

thanks for all of the opinions.

I haven't checked in a while.

I like the second week of dec. idea.

We are still debating whether to just go after Christmas. Like the 1st weekend in January?
