Best time for photo shoot in Sept.

We plan on doing a photo shoot at the GF; but what time should I schedule it for? I'm afraid that if I do it in the evening the kids will be tired and cranky and if I do it first thing in the morning the sun will be too bright???

Any suggestions??

We used the day we had the photoshoot to just relax. We got up late, and then went to do the Richard Petty ride along and was back to the hotel by noon. Then we ate lunch, the big kids (12 &15) went swimming, while the little one (2) took a nap. Our ressies were for 6:30PM and the sun was still very bright at the GF, but everyone was in a good mood. Then we went to MK and closed the park for EMH.
