You always here about the best time to plan a trip for the resorts and parks. I think I have narrowed it down to September/ October time frame. Aside from weather I hear this is the best time because the children are in school, and summer is pretty much over. We have a 3yob that we are traveling with. So my question to all the DIS'ers is, In your opinion what is the best time to go to Disney World?
Also not much for the cold weather so December and January are probably out.
Thanks everyone.:cool2:

Your last sentence says it all. Travelling to WDW is really more of a personal preference than anything else. It depends on you and your family's requirements.

Do you want lower crowds? Do you want to experience X-Mas at WDW? Are you a fan of the Food & Wine festival? Depending on what you enjoy most at WDW or what you want to experience will drive your decision on when to go.

If lower crowds and weather are your requirements then January/February or Sept/Oct may be the best.

I've been to WDW a couple times in late October/early November, and it's been great. Good temperatures (some rain, but that's Florida), Halloween/Autumn themes, low rates and very low attendance. You'll rarely have to wait in line for more than a five or ten minutes, and dining reservations are a lot easier to make. There are only two places where you might see crowds: (1) Epcot for the Food and Wine Festival (which is great), and (2) Universal's Halloween Horror Nights. The Horror Nights crowd is only in the park at night, so if you go to Universal during the day the crowds will be small, and you can see everything worth seeing there (in my opinion) in one day.
