We're considering adding it to our itinerary -- what time(s) would you recommend for the best char interaction? We could do breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
We prefer breakfast. I like to make the ADR around 8:15/8:30 because then we can walk around Main Street with hardly anybody around. And also we are close to Fantasyland to begin our day in the park.

Thats what we did last week for our first morning. Our ADR was for 8:20. It was WONDERFUL! Great service, great food and wonderful charcter interaction.
I booked today for dinner. I don't want to lose any morning park time eating, and the dinner menu looked good. Plus, by dinner time we're always ready for the break. I've never been at all, but that is how I made up my mind.
We really like the breakfast menu and it's a little cheaper than lunch. I think up until around 11:00 AM is still breakfast. We don't feel we lose "prime" morning ride time that way. We eat some cereal at our resort room, get to the MK when it opens and ride, then head for brunch at CP. Our DSs seem to eat more "breakfast foods" so we feel we get a good value this way.
We've always had good character interaction and have taken family pictures with the entire group of characters at the front of the restaurant before leaving. I'm not sure if this happens at all the seating times.
