we're planning on a princess breakfast at Akershus. if we have our pick of times, is there a better time than other times for character interaction? 1st thing, at the end of breakfast, or does it matter?

i was thinking of the last seating for breakfast only b/c it would serve as an early lunch plus we'd be able to ride Soarin, etc 1st thing after the park's opening. do you think that the characters are less attentive at the end of a serving period - do they need to leave right away?

I have done late meals at a lot of character meals (Akershus included) and never had a problem. Never felt rushed and food was just as good. Interaction is always subject to daily changes, but I never had an issue.

The princess character meals are the most popular dining experience around, so keep in mind that making reservations even 3 months in advance does not necessarily mean that a wide selection of dining times are available.

Our 9:00 AM Princess Storybook ADR went exceptionally well. Five different characters (Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, Jasmine, Belle and Mary Poppins) visited our table while we ate. Each princess arrived approximately 10 minutes of one another, allowing about 3 to 4 minutes for conversation, picture taking and autographs. The waiters casually and efficiently keep your dining experience moving along, but we never were made to feel hurried.

An early breakfast reservation also allowed us to be in the park before most of the attractions opened, and heavy crowds arrived. By the time we finished our meal, we were among the first to be able to walk right on many rides and be quickly seated for shows.
