Best Themed Counter Service Restaurants?

This is our 4th trip coming up, and by the sounds of it you are like us. You go for an experience. So let me rack my brain and try to remember all we've done

Start with the obvious- MK
Starlight Cafe is nice because it has an awesome selection of food. We do enjoy the chick and ribs, but after trip 2 we are looking to branch from the most expensice menu items and get something we really like! (darn dp!) Greek salad is awesome here!! If you turn the corner in the back there is a little patio overlooking the little lake and castle. We sat inside right by that area last year for lunch, we were alone. Not a soul in the area and it was so nice to have that down time to relax.
Pinochio Haus was so cute. Busy, but we walked to the very back (or front) facing (I think) Peter pan... we had that whole area to ourselves. It felt like we were sitting in an old German house. Beautiful! Food was OK be selective with what you get. But I'd go again just to sit in that area again. Lots of nice murals of the story and the kids LOVED it. The windows were so nice and it all looked authentic. Even had coo coo clocks. Kids loved it! AND it was relaxing and not noisy.
Pecos Bills has always been a favorite. we love it down in that area. We like to sit outside at the tables. Can hear Splash Mtn, we've been there in the evening and fireworks were going off at the castle. I think it was a show and not Wishes. But we could see them in the sky from where we were. Lovely! And there seems to be a nice breeze there all the time.
Sorry for being a bit off topic, but just wanted to share.

The only place we have been to has been Flame Tree BBQ . If you walk down you will get to a point (for seating) where you are near the big lake and you can see MT Everest. Great place to eat! So pretty. Beware of all the birds!! However, I had been waiting forever for ribs from here. Mine were more fatty than Starlight Cafe.

HS
Pizza Planet is fun. The pizza is OK and the salads are good. But that's it. We enjoy eating outside, or upstairs if it's too hot out.
ABC Commissary Is open like a cafeteria. It's ok. California feel. I doubt I will want to go back though unless DH does.
Starring Rolls is our favorite. It's a little cafe type place with umbrella seats outside. Theme Wise, nothing special, sandwiches are awesome! And so are their baked goods! nice break from the fries and burgers.

Epcot
Oh where do I begin.:lovestruc
I am not a fan of eating outside of the World. It's ok food, but I adore eating around the world.
La Cantina is very nice. Was not impressed with the meaty whatever it was I got last year. So saucy and salty and just too much of it. The seating area is nice. However, if the sun is setting, try to not be in it's line of view. Makes the experience NOT fun.
Norway has a cute little bakery with sandwiches I think. we used a snack credit last year to get a huge pastry each. Mistake #1. Could have shared. The kids loved having their own. The seating area is very Viking like and quiet. You can see the lake if you sit in the right spot. It was blissfully a happy spot at 11am.
UK we love the fish and chips. But we take it to go. Which leaves the theming to you. There is a nice little stage and garden area in the back of the UK pavillion you can stop and eat there.
I guess that is all we have done for QS here.
France We have not eaten here. That being said we walked through the bakery which had lots for a lunch. You can take it to a little patisserie style tables outside which looks and feels like a little quaint area in Paris. Very cute!

DTD
we have only done the one QS here. (well, we did McDOnalds our 1st trip, but it's no longer there :thumbsup2 Means my family wont ask to go!) We ADORE Wolf Gang Puck Express. You will not get a better use out of a QS credit. The inside is nice, but there is a big block table near the kitchen I am pretty certain you can sit at too. The salmon is amazing!! That is our first meal the day we fly in. We have the DP, but we need some salmon. We always have it 2 times within a visit and drool all year long just to go back. I have read that their pizza is equally is amazing. DH loves the Creme Brulee, the cheesecake is awesome. Their kids meals are very good as well. And huge! DS 6 wants the salmon this round though, as good as the chicken strips are (my 2 hearty eaters 5 and 6 could share one kids meal here).

I know this wasn't specific on theming, but these have been our experiences and I love to make the best choice for our money or credits. I hope this helps :)

EXACTLY!

Thanks for your insight, we sound very much alike!

This will be the first time for us without the dining plan, we are on a set budget!

My FIL gave his points to us as an anniversary gift, but our free trip is still costing a bundle! We usually take about a year to pay off our trip but since this is a DVC trip everything is ala carte and needs to be paid in full when we add things. We were lucky enough to get tickets from UT before the rate increase, so that helped out alot. We decided to drive instead of fly, so that helps too, but we really can't swing the dining plan this time so we need to get creative!

We went a la budget mode the 1st year as our Canadian dollar crashed with the markets right before we were ready to pay off our package. Boo. No DP that year, so away we went with a 3 and 4 yr old and we shared almost everything. But I have tons of tips if you'd like. How many of you are going? Ages of the kids?

I would love any tips you would like to share:thumbsup2!

Can you believe I'm not a 100% sure exactly who will end up making the trip!
As of this minute it will be me, DH and DD8, however there is a slight possability that our two older DD's will come along. The oldest is 22 and the middle one is 20! As of right now they are having problems being able to take time off from their jobs and the middle one starts nursing school as soon as we get back so she will probably need to stay home to get the last minute school stuff in order!

Since I started this thread I will list the options we are considering and if anyone would like to comment - great!

Columbia Harbour House is my favorite and part of the reason is because of the quiet, almost full serve atmosphere. I suppose that that is a theme in a way.

I've never even seen the inside of Pinocchio Haus and now I want to try it!
