Best taco salad in mk?

So, while I hardly get taco salads ever, i'm totally tempted by the MK's offerings. I hate ceasar salads & don't really go for burgers either so this seems....delicious!

Which stop is better: Peco's Bills or the new Tortuga Tavern??

Not sure when you are going ,but Tortuga tavern is open seasonally and if it stays the same as the restaurant that was there before it it won't be open very often.
I would also guess that they would be very similar since they are cs meal... I wouldn't expect it to be different.

Personally I haven't eaten at Tortuga Tavern ... it was never open in my last 10 trips! I have had it at Pecos Bills... let's just say I didn't order it again. It was ok but if you aren't a taco salad person I don't think it was all that special to get.

tried the taco salad at Tortuga Tavern - or the former El Pirata. I do like the taco salad at Pecos Bill's. You can enhance it at the fixin's bar.

Is Tortuga Tavern goign to be seasonal like El Pirata?

I had the taco salad at pecos Bill's too! And I just LOVE the Fixen bar!! That was awsome! Made my Taco salad really yummy.

I love the taco salad from Pecos Bills. I wouldn't necessarily say it is anything special because you just get a taco shell bowl and meat from the line. But, you go to the fixins bar and make it whatever you want. I think it is really yummy!

DH always gets his taco salad at Pecos Bills. He piles on the toppings and usually in the end his lunch is always better than mine, no matter what I choose.

Got to learn, get the taco salad.....

I saw this and just had to come post! Pecos Bills taco salad is my favorite counter service meal anywhere in Disney World! When we were there in December I had it once and fell in love! Later that week we had it again and all of my family ordered it they loved mine so much the first time!

I would say that the taco salads are the exact same...the restaurants back up to each other.
I love the taco salads at Pecos and the former El Pirata

I had taco salad at one of the few times we saw El Pirata open. I've also had Pecos Bills taco salad. I am 99.99% sure they are the exact same thing. You get the bowl and some lukewarm meat and sour cream if you request it from the counter. Then you add everything else yourself at the fixings bar. Works out good for me because I am picky and like mostly just lettuce and cheese on mine!

I've read that Pecos Bill offers a really good taco salad as you can take advantage of the toppings bar and load it up.

They are exactly the same but at Peco Bills the topping bar is alot better, they have sauteed mushrooms and onions and cheese sauce

You can also take your taco salad from Tortuga and walk over and sit in Peco's Bill. They are almost basically attached and you just have to walk through the maze of seats to get to the Peco's Bill fixin Bar. Often the kids, DH and I would get something from each place and meet in the middle. When we go in the summer, El Pirata was always open.

One thing that my girls and I have to do while at MK (at least once during our trip) is have a taco salad at Pecos Bills (DH has to have the pulled pork sandwhich). We love them there, what puts it over the top is the fixings bar
