I am a solo Disney traveler about seven hours away from the World. I usually take my Disney trips on a whim without any plans. I know people often make reservations months in advance and it can be difficult (if not impossible) to get into some of the most popular restaurants without one.
My question is: What are some of the better restaurants that you can get in w/o a reservation - or maybe one made just a day or two in advance? My food preferences are steak, cheeseburgers, and seafood.
Some of the restaurants I'm interested in are Le Cellier, The Coral Reef, Rose & Crown, and Yachtsman (impressed that they have prime grade beef).
You've picked a few hard ones. My guess is Le Cellier is a no, Coral Reef - considering they make those with ADRs wait way past their time I think if they say yes you might be wasting lots of time waiting, Rose & Crown I think will depend on what time you want to eat, Yachtsman I don't know but I would look on MDE before you travel all the way there. I enjoy Captain's Grille as well.
Not done it myself but what about some of the restaurants where they have bar / lounge areas where you can sit and order from the menu? I haven't got a list but I'm sure others know - Hollywood Brown Derby, California Grill, 50's Prime Time I think are some
Prime Time bar is a great option, California Grill lounge will really depend on what time you are trying to get up there as many try to go to watch the fireworks and we have done Brown Derby lounge - love that spot!
If seafood includes sushi look at the Kona Island Sushi Bar in the Polynesian.

Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom is walk up or day of reservation only.

Yak & Yeti in AK almost always will seat you walk up. They have all you want plus the burgers are Kobe. They have a bar just not sure if they serve the food at the bar.

Go through the Lounges and see if any of the menus meet your needs.

We have seen more and more the podiums say they are not taking walk ups. A few times when they told us no I walked away, pulled up MDE and saw openings I was able to book with in next couple hours.
Of course all your needs can be met at Disney Springs, so much so you will have a hard time choosing.
