Any recommendations? I’m thinking somewhere that has a bit more room and quiet to relax for dinner.

Hmmmm....in general all Disney restaurants (even the super fancy ones) will have kids. I'll give you your best option in MK and outside.

MK: Skipper's Canteen with a late reservation (8pm or later). I did this with my sister in Jan. 2017 on a whim and we were seated in a backroom with very little families present and it was quiet. But keep in mind, this is all based on luck because you are talking about the MK here, where even little children are out late.

Directly outside MK: Take the monorail to The Contemporary (1 stop). For a pricey/unique experience, I recommend California Grill again with a late reservation. You can also go to The Wave, which is also in The Contemporary and less pricey. Again, a late reservation is recommended.

Edit: I realize you didn't specify for a place without kids. Sorry for assuming! But anyway, I still recommend these places for a quiet dinner.

Can't think of a single quiet place in MK. Do one of the monorail resorts, or take the boat to WL for artist point. Also, WL has a great little lounge with drinks and apps outside artist points if you want something more casual.

I don't know if quiet and Magic Kingdom should be used in the same sentence....

If I wanted to be near MK and something quiet I'd do something in the contemporary maybe?

In MK, not happening, consider stepping out to The Wave at the Contemporary for a casual dinner or California Grill for a more upscale experience w/ fireworks viewing depending on when you book.

Good points everyone. I should have clarified more! California Grill is booked for when we’re looking to go - Saturday July 7. ( I already know going the weekend after 4th of July is going to be insane)

I haven’t tried the Wave before so I’ll have to look into that.

I like the upstairs of Columbia Harbour House for lunch.

In terms of “quiet” I see how silly that was to post. Coming from Disneyland I feel like there’s a decent amount of relaxing places in the park like Cafe Orleans (inside), Blue Bayou, Carthay Circle and the Trattoria. I’m just not as well versed in WDW.

A spot on the monorail works also. My sister in law will be in her second trimester so I’m looking for a place that doesn’t require too much walking. (Again that’s a pretty silly comment as the whole day will be a decent amount of walking)

Thanks again for your suggestions!

In MK, Skipper Canteen or LTT are not bad choices.
Outside, I would consider the Wave, Artist Point at Wilderness (boat), Narcoossees at Grand Floridian.
Or keep looking and see if something opens at CG. you can use touring plans reservation finder to help as well.

Another vote for Artist Point.
As far as the monorail resort restaurants go you also have:

Kona Cafe
Citrico's
Grand Floridian Cafe
Narcoossee's
All are relatively quiet with some being more so than others.

If your sister-in-law doesn't want to walk far and you plan on staying in the park in the evening, I would just stay and eat in MK. IMHO, BOG is the quietest of the TS dinner restaurants, but it's switching to a 2 TS credit, prix fixe meal format, so definitely not your cheapest option nor the easiest to get. After that, I would probably consider LTT if you like AYCTE meals. If not, consider Skipper's. Unless you are going during a very crowded week, Skippers tends to be on the quieter side.

If you were planning on leaving the park for good and go have dinner, Artist Point is awesome and typically a very quiet restaurant.

My favorite TS in MK is Skipper's Canteen. I've only been there for lunch a couple times, so I can't speak to the dinner crowd, but I'd imagine it's more on the noisy side. The plaza might be slightly quieter since it's a smaller room.
If quiet is your biggest concern, I think you're better off going out of MK. Shortest walk I can think of is to take the boat to GF and eat at Narcoossee's. It also has great views of the fireworks if you're there that late!

EDIT: A previous poster mentioned Artist Point. That will almost certainly be quiet, and is a short walk from the dock. Potentially more importantly, it usually has lots of availability.

There is 7 of us I made reservations for The Plaza Restaurant, I thought it would be fun to eat on Main St. USA! Hope we can get a good meal there. We are going to the Garden Grill for a character breakfast that morning.

If your looking for quiet I would say Olivia's at OKW. It is definately not near the MK though.
As much as I adore Olivia's, the tin ceiling tends to multiply the noise in the room if there is one family who fails to use indoor voices.

However, Narcoossee's is really nice and you can watch the fireworks at the MK there. Or Grand Floridian Café is also nice, a bit less expensive and usually fairly quiet. Then you can sit in the lobby and enjoy some adult time.
