Where is the best place to eat a table service meal in DTD?

We have an ADR for Planet Hollywood, but now may need to change it.

I have heard bad reports about PH, but it was very hard to get a ressie there, so obviously people like it! I also liked the menu choices, it looks like there is lots of variety. It also seems fun for all ages.

Where do you like, and why?
thanx! :sunny:

I have went to 3 Planet Hollywoods around the nation. I have been to the one in St Louis, San Antonio, and Honolulu. I see from their site they do not even show some of the Planet Hollywood locations on their site unless they have closed them down which I would doubt Los Angeles would have closed theirs. I have to say the food has always been the same not that good for what you pay. It was honestly to me more of a tourist trap than anything. It's standard sub-par food. You are basically paying for the theme of the place and the merchandise they try to get you to purchase. If you want to go there for the experience to say you went and to see what the theme is like then I would only go for a drink and if anything an appitizer. None of the ones I have been to have ever been different on their foods they were always the same quality. Hope this helps.

Never been to PH but did enjoy House of Blues - good if you like spicy food and are a big eater cos has large portions

I agree -- HoB is very good. We choose that over PH anyway.
If you want some place that is a nice medium between counter and table services, eat at Wolfgang Puck's Express on the other side in Marketplace.
Very good food and selection. And it is counter service food, but offers meals you would expect at a table service. No ADRs needed. :cool1:

Planet Hollywood may be more difficult to get into than usual because of those Dining Pkg vouchers. We werent planning on PH but I did make an AR once we got the voucher.

Raglan Road or House of Blues are our choices for the downtown disney area.

Wow, I've eaten at PH three times and never had a ressie.
Once was on December 23rd too.. packed, but didn't need a ressie??
Guess Dining Plan Vouchers are making it harder?

I personally really enjoy the food. I hated HoB. I thought it was expensive, limited menu and the atmosphere was just.. blah. I'm a very anxious person though so sitting still and having to watch/listen to someone is not my idea of a good time. Planet Hollywood is better for me (I would imagine I'm much like a kid in the aspect that I can't sit still at all) because I can look around at all the different things and I always notice something new. It holds my interest and I can make it through the meal without having to jump up and move on with my day.. That alone makes it worth it to me!!

Not to mention this GREAT BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger I have dreams about....
;)

I would skip PH. The last two times we have eaten there it has been bad. We said we would not go back. I would go for the Rainforest Cafe. We have had very good luck there and the atmosphere is really neat too.
