We are looking for an all suite hotel for a couple of days in April. Ideally, we would like it to include breakfast and have a nice pool area. We have stayed at Embassy Suites LBV and are looking for somthing different. Any ideas???

We are going to be staying at the Holiday Inn Maingates East in February. They sent us a brochure which includes the room layout and it seems quite nice for the price. I odn't think it is overly fancy but we have 3 adults, 2 kids and are paying $79/night with full breakfast included and kids eat free always. I did quite a bit of research and this looks like the best.

Regarding the Embassy Suites, LBV - how was your stay? We are booked there for May and were wondering how the shuttle bus service was. How long did it take to get to the Disney parks? How was the hotel overall and is there anything you were dissatisfied with? Pool area isn't important to us, but the free breakfast(we've stayed at other Embassy Suites before), location, convenience is! Was the line for the breakfast incredibly long or did it move quickly? Thanks for your help - I've been trying to find someone that has stayed there!

We stayed at the Embassy Suites LBV last Christmas. We always try to stay at Embassy Suites because they are consistently good. We stayed in the rooms around pool. I think these are probably the newer rooms. It was nice, pretty much your typical Embassy Suites. We have stayed in nicer, but were satisfied. We were there at one of the busiest times so breakfast was a mob scene. There weren't enough seats, but there was seating outside- it was just to cold to use them. Happy hour was great. We drove to the parks, so I can't help you with that. The location is very close to the parks though. I have never had a bad experience with Embassy Suite hotels. Have fun!!

We like the DoubleTree Guest Suites in DTD. You can walk to DTD they have a large pool, childrens pool, jacuzzi, bar area, arcade, movie area w/kids movies. I like that we can put the kids to bed, shut the door and watch TV or what ever! We were very happy with our accomodations.

We have also stayed at the Caribe Royale. Another GREAT suite hotel. Themed pools w/water slide. Loved it!!!! However, for the price and the additional drive to the parks and not being so close to DTD I probably wouldn't stay there again unless the DoubleTree was booked. It's just so convenient there!

JesNjakesmom, was wondering does doubletree have a pool slide.
Just received a call today from hilton was offered doubletree deal if we did a timeshare.
They say 3 nights at $199. total + $129nt for additional days.

Shelly, Yes they do have a poolside. We have not stayed in one though, I like to be up high! There are doorwalls that walk out onto a small cement patio and the pool/arcade/outside bar is right there. They have a great restaurant off the lobby as well.

We are doing that timeshare deal this time. $198 for 3 nights/4 days, 2 themepark tickets (Disney, Universal or Seaworld). That is total with taxes and everything. They require you to pay it all at the time of reservation. I am using my Hilton Hhonors points for our additional nights. So I'm not sure what they would have offered us there. Last year I got a really good deal at $95.00/night. Keep calling the hotel directly and asking what their best rate is - don't tell them about your package deal, just add them on as extra nights if you get a better rate than $129. Definately worth it even at $129/night!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, the extra nights are all due at the time of reservation too if you book them through the timeshare people. (And, that $129 is before taxes).

I'm sorry. I'm asking about a slide in the pool.
Not a specific room. I think you misunderstood me.

We have reservations at Hawthorne Suites LBV for october. it has a free breakfast and a social hour in the evenings, plus on wed nights they have like a cookout(?) hotdogs and hamburgers maybe, not sure. Try hotelkingdom.com they had room rates very reasonable for Hawthorne suites. A little cheaper than avistahotels.com had listed.

We stayed at AmeriSuites in Sept. and Oct. With Entertainment book the rate was only $39 and that included a good breakfast for all four of us! The room had a fridge and micro that we used for snacks. Very new and clean. Pool area was only OK. Had one slide into the pool.

The rate was so good that I sweated it until we walked in. Was worried I'd gotten too cheap for my own good. But it was great.

Sorry Shelly, Nope there is no slide. They have a separate kiddie pool with a fountain in it but not slides or diving boards.

We really like Marriott's Residence Inn's. We are spending our first night at the Residence Inn LBV before heading to the YC. Their full buffet breakfast is great, best I ever had when included with room. We have two teens and opt for the two bedroom suite which is nice and large. We recently went to a wedding in Pittsburgh and stayed in a Residence Inn there for 2 nights. The Residence Inn is LBV opened in May 1999. It is located 3 miles from WDW. The best price I found was here: www.orlandodiscountrooms.com/
