Hi DISBoarders,

We are doing an extended family trip in October (staying at Beach Club) and the kids range from 2-16.

What are the best ideas for the 14 and 16 year olds?

Any input is appreciated!

thanks

I am assuming you mean besides all the rides. Are the teens boys or girls?

We have teen girls and they love the BC/YC area. They love to swim in SAB, they absolutely love to walk to the Boardwalk and go in all of the shops. During the evening there is entertainment on the boardwalk, jugglers, mimes, magic shows, etc. They love to rent surreys and bike around the board walk. There is also Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf.

There is Movie under the stars right near the beach of the BC.

The best thing they love to do is walk to EPCOT and shop and eat around the countries.

Hope that helps.

In Hollywood Studios at the Animation Courtyard they have something called 'Animation Academy' that I've ALWAYS loved (1st tried it at 15) and any friend I have ever taken since has absolutely loved it.

You are taught to draw a Disney character with a Disney artist!!

Weirdly not a lot of people know about it? Or they just don't think it will be fun...but boy are they wrong. And after you get out of the class, there is so much wonderful stuff to look at and explore inside. (They also have these super fun and interactive mirrors where you can do voice overs of Disney movies!)

My teens are boys and their favorite thing at WDW is the food, LOL. In particular, they like the all you can eat and buffet places. I always let each child pick a restaurant for our trip and this year the requests are (all repeat visits):
DS18 - 'Ohana
DS15 - Hoop Dee Doo
DD11 - Crystal Palace

They love the water parks.

If there is an event going on at Wide World of Sports, that may be fun.

Characters - While it seems counterintuitive, taking teen boys to see the characters is so much fun! I don't think the characters get a lot of teen boys in their lines and the interaction was incredible. There was a lot of good natured teasing and we were all in stitches. The princesses, in particular, have fun with the boys. ;)
