we are going to wdw in may and are staying in disney itself, we have got a day pass for islands of adventure and wondered if anyone can give us a good stratergie for all the rides and shows? we want to everything we can but my husband and 10 year old want to go on the big rides so would it be best to do all the rides together then later in the day those two go in single lane queues or they go in single lane queues first thing while we wait!!! as me and my 7 year old dont do big rides, thanks

Get there around 8:30 am and do all the big rides first. We went in August (peak time) and found if we were there for park opening we were able to get a lot in before lines started forming (around 11 am). We found the lines didn't start to get bad until around 12-1. By 1 pm the lines for Hulk, Spiderman, Popeye, Dudley Do Right and Jurrasic Park were all at least hour long.

As Darcy stated...get there early and do the bigger rides first. Start with Hulk, Spiderman, Dr. Doom and work your away around the park. Depending on when you're going, the lines will get long by 11am so try to cover as much ground as possible.

Third one to agree here...

Arrive WAY early, to be at the gate by 830 because sometimes they open them early, plus the gate takes so long, you want to be towards the front.

Those first two hours (esp the first hour) are really golden with IOA/US.

And IOA offers child Swap on all the big rides, so just tell the front TM what's up and they will hook you up :thumbsup2 The nice thing about child sway is your child can ride twice, once with each parent.

My tip for the child not riding... Let them monkey with your digital camera to help pass the time.

thanks for the replys, p.s we are going on may 10th so we are hoping it should not be to busy!! fingers crossed
