Princess Outfit that is...and Belle specifically. I promised my daughter if she does all of her chores before our trip in September, she can buy a Belle outfit for the MNSSHP and get dressed up that night.

So.....shoppers.....where is the best place in WDW?

Thanks!

The big Disney store in DTD has a very nice selection, but sometimes can be a madhouse. It can be a lot of fun to purchase in the park. If I'm remembering correctly there's a fun shop in Mickey's Toontown Fair that has a lot of princess stuff. Just be ready to lay down some big bucks. Last summer at Disneyland the Ariel dress we got was $65, but then there are the accessories!

Ditto on the price gauging, but also I would worry that she might not be able to find what she wants in her size. I imagine the costumes are very popular during the Halloween season down there, so I think it's better to be safe than sorry and find something before you leave.

If you're dead set on buying them at the park, there is the store in DTD, and I think you can get them at Tinkerbell's treasures in Fantasyland at MK, and also in the County Bounty in Toontown in MK.

If you do a search on Ebay, you can find lots of people who make custom Disney outfits, some for cheaper than you could buy at WDW. I got several adorable outifts for my kids for our upcoming trip off of Ebay.

I would love it if we had a pay it forward thread on here! Last year a woman needed a Snow White costume in size 2 and I had one that used to be my daughters! I sent it to her no questions asked! Her thanks was all I needed! I also used to have Belle in size 4 but I lent it out and never got it back. I bet someone on these boards has an extra that their little princess has grown out of! or..try ebay!

If your heart was set on buying it IN WDW so your daughter could pick it out and you don't want to take that away from her, maybe get it ahead of time on sale and then wrap it up and leave it for her overnight the night before you go to MNSSHP. Then when she gets up in the morning you can tell her that, while she was sleeping, Belle came and left her a special surprise!! :goodvibes

What a great idea!! People always give them to Goodwill or Once Upon a Child, but what better thing than to be able to give them to a fellow DIS Disney FANATIC!! :thumbsup2

I would check your local discount stores ahead of time.

TJMaxx, Ross, Marshall's, Target, Walmart, Kmart, even Costco or Sam's Club.

I got DD3's Sleeping Beauty costume at Sam's last year for $19.99 which included the dress, shoes, purse, wand, and tiara. princess:

Also, was just at TJMaxx this weekend and they had all the Disney Princess dresses for $16.99, normally $40 or more. Got a Belle, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Ariel for our trip and dress up clothes afterwards. :cheer2:

Good luck! :goodvibes

The dresses are $49.99, everywhere. We looked at them last week in every store, before we gave in 3 days into the trip, and got our DDs a Belle and Sleeping Beauty costume.

I'm not sure if you are near any Disney stores that are in the malls but the one here last night had the dresses on sale for about $40-50 and it was an additional 25% off that price too :yay:

We're going in Oct too and the BF convinced me to let her do the whole BBB thing (including buying the dress there) since she's at the perfect age and by the time we go back to WDW she would probably be "too cool" for it.. oh well.

Many thanks for all the ideas. I have scoured ebay, no real luck yet - not too many size 4/5 (xs, s). I will also check out the stores around here.

Our problem is she saw a dress a friend bought at WDW and loves THAT dress. I find that the stores locally carry different ones. All I keep hearing is that it's not the same.....it's not as pretty. OMG!!! :rolleyes1
